This is one of the few places where breakfast starts at 6, compatibly with the opening hours of the Petra archeological park. Esperanza is also super close to the site.

I had the pleasure of staying at Al-Nawatef ECO Camp in Dana Nature Reserve, and it was truly one of the best stays I've ever had. The service was exceptional—easily the best I've experienced. The camp offers an authentic taste of Bedouin life, making the experience all the more memorable. Mohammed and Ibrahim from Yemen were incredible hosts, always ensuring our tea cups were full without delay. We planned a hike to Wadi Ghuweir, and while the transportation cost was 30 JD per person, Abu Bilal kindly suggested alternative options that helped us save money. He was an honest and deeply principled man, making our experience even more special. This was a stay I will never forget, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and heartwarming experience.

Transportation is available upon request to/from any location in Jordan at an added charge. As an individual, I will rate it very highly. I found out on the spot that the hotel I had booked (Bedouin Camp) was quite far from the Visitor Center, so I searched and made a reservation on the day, focusing on hostels that would provide transportation to the center (as a result, free of charge). In spite of the sudden reservation, the owner picked me up on the day, sent me at 6:30 am the next day, picked me up in the evening of the next day, and delivered me to the Bedouin camp (minimum $10 charge + personal tip). There are shopping centers, supermarkets, and restaurants near the hotel, so you can enjoy meals safely even at night (without carrying large amounts of cash).
