It’s very convenient, close to Yamagata station, and has many bus stations within 5 mins walking distance. There’s a gym on the 3rd floor, and laundry room on the 8th floor. Rio greets you and he is amazingly helpful, kind and considerate and will go the extra mile to serve you well. Great value for a hostal style accommodation in a ski resort. The bunks are double size with warm blankets. The bath downstairs is a welcome retreat after skiing if you don’t fancy the 7 min walk to the local onsen. Well worth it. Check which one with Rio. Note it shuts at 7 pm but the baths in the hotel remain open. Rio has an array of beverages in his bar and restaurants are easy. Just go nextdoor ! Thank you for your hospitality Rio. This is truly the best place to stay!!! The most amazing hosts, fabulous big breakfast and nothing is ever too much trouble - they are so kind! They picked us up from the bus stop, took us to hire our ski gear, sorted our ski passes and dropped us at the slopes and picked us up! Their hospitality is the best in Japan! The accommodation is sooo cosy and warm! The beds are really comfortable and we loved everything about our stay! You can not find better hosts! It is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back again! Highly recommend staying here!

Even before our late arrival, the kind gentleman in charge guided us patiently through everything via a messaging app—making sure we felt welcomed and informed before even stepping through the door. Upon arrival, we were amazed: the room was spotless, beautifully scented, and perfectly prepared. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and everything was designed for comfort and relaxation—an electric barbecue, a warm outdoor bath, and even a fully stocked fridge with a delicious homemade dinner and breakfast ready for us. What truly made it magical was the subtle care: the next morning, while we were away, they quietly collected the used items and restocked the fridge with a fresh dinner—like little invisible fairies making sure everything remained perfect without ever disturbing our peace. This place is perfect for anyone looking to disconnect, reconnect with nature, or enjoy a romantic escape. I still don’t know the name of the kind man who greeted us each morning with a warm smile, but I want to sincerely thank him—his presence made our stay even more special. I can only recommend R;MOGAMI with all my heart.
