The staff took us out from the camp so we could go near the giraffs and zeebras. They also told us about everything we saw, the animals, trees and more. The food was really good. The chef was so good. The food was also really cheap. The tents was so Cozy. I recommend to live their and go on safaritour from the camp. They Will help you book. We booked a bolt from Nairobi to the camp. Id you ask them the staff Will explane how to drive to the camp. We gave the bolt driver 14000 kes. It was my birthday when I was there, the staff was singing and gave me a cake. We was at the camp for 3 days and we did not go for safari we just relaxed there.

The place is what is in the pictures. We stayed in a Luxury King Room for 3 nights. I will focus more on the people as these are not in the pictures.
Sandra - definitely the best coordinator I have ever dealt with. On the outset of the planning, she already laid out almost everything that is needed, from detailed costing of activities, timings and possible customization of game drives, to the transparency of the payments. It was a pleasure to plan the trip with her.
Francis - our transfer from Nairobi and vice versa. Definitely ask Sandra for this guy for the transfer. You will be surprised at what he can offer on a transfer that's supposedly just plain and simple.
Gilbert, Daniel, Joshua - the reception and the servers in the restaurant. Very hardworking people. They are there in both early dinners and quick coffee very early the next day. Very detailed in explaining the inclusions in the room and in the menu. They are also fun to speak with. Checking with you how the daily safaris went. Special mention to Joshua who was very funny.
Duncan - a very polite guy helping us with anything in the room. From cleaning the room to putting up and down the zipped curtains outside the tent.
Julias - the camp's very own chef. I have zero complaints to the taste and quality of the food. The soups were particularly amazing. Being lactose intolerant, the least I need is an upset stomach on a full day game drive and the team literally made the food dairy free. This is the service I can only expect in an ultra luxury 5-star hotel.
Joseph - last but definitely not the least. Probably one of the best game drivers Maasai Mara has to offer. He is very skilled in tracking predator animals. There are times when we came late to the sightings, but once we were there, he was definitely the first one to drive towards the next stop where the big cats would pass through. We had moments where the lions rest in the shadow of our jeep and the leopards pass through us.
Talek
With garden views, Greenwood safari camp is set in Talek and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. This property offers access to a balcony, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. The owner of the camp has assembled a great team of commited people. They provided us with everything: information, transport, guide and superb food. In fact, you can have the camp arrange your game drives in the Masai Mara and your transport from and to Nairobi, all at very competetive rates. The owner, Magdy, will explain everything to you through WhatsApp. All the accomodation and facilities are safe and clean (but opt for the larger and more comfortable rooms!). I did a lot of research before my booking, and I think Greenwood (also recommended in the Lonely Planet guide book, by the way) is among the best choices, if you are on a budget. Go there!
Talek
Located in Talek, Talek Bush Camp, Masai Mara provides accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Extra facilities include a 24-hour front desk, meeting rooms, a tour desk and housekeeping service. Attendment. Abdul, the manager, organised everything for us. From the transfer in Nairobi to the tours in the park and transfer back. We asked for an open car with no windows, and everything was done as we asked for. The tent was very comfortable with a hot shower. We were lucky and had an upgrade to a tent with a river view, most of the tents don't have a river view. Bed is comfortable, food has limited options but is good, they offer local beers with reasonable prices. We loved to watch the animals at the end of the day at the river. We saw baboons, monkeys and a family of mongooses run past our tent. Staff are very friendly. The park itself was amazing, we spent 12 hours there everyday. We highly recommend this camp, they will organise everything for you. The location is also a plus, right beside the Talek river and 3 min ride from the park gate. Very good cost benefit ratio.

Among the facilities at this property are room service and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The view was breathtaking, and the tent was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully set up. Special thanks to Chef Allan for the delicious meals, and to Lucia and Steve who were always so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Our game drives were unforgettable with Ken, an excellent driver who made sure we saw the Big 5! In Nairobi, John was also a great driver who took care of us very well. One of the highlights of our trip was the nature walk with Dickson – he was such a knowledgeable and engaging guide, making it an incredible experience. A huge thank you to NJ, a very patient owner who always responded to all my queries, and to Nick, who went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort, even checking in with us on our way home. Everything was so wonderful that we ended up extending our stay. We highly recommend Mara Hilltop Camp to anyone visiting the Masai Mara – you will not be disappointed!

It was our honeymoon and she made everything very special for us, she was so attentive and the best host we had throughout our whole time in Kenya! We would come back SPECIFICALLY because of Faith! Breakfast was great, loads to choose from. The room was very cosy and clean. They do cute touches like put hot water bottles in your bed whilst you're at dinner! The location was perfect Bed was very comfortable property was very well maintained and clean
A great location. Exceptionally good staff - very friendly and hard working. Considering that it had been badly damaged by a flash flood less than 3 months ago they have worked hard to restore the facilities.
Beautiful spot, decent tents, very clean, nice and helpful personnel. We simply loved it!
Gourmet food. Great location to explore Mara. Friendly staff. Great Safari experience. Comfortable room. Outstanding service.
The location is perfect. Close enough to the airstrip and in the middle of animals and nature
John, Jacob and James were amazing hosts. We had a really good 2 day safari with them in Maasai Maara. Jacob was very good in explaining us about various animals we spot. John was an excellent safari guide too. The camp we stayed was also very good. They had good breakfast too. The entire camp stay was great. It had two beds, and was spacious. Shower was good with hot water, We had very good conversations about our cultures as well. The stay is quite close to Sekenani gate, a very ideal location
Great location, great service, excellent food. Ideal for a family. Really enjoyed the game drives with Joab!
