Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. Incredible boutique hotel. Welcoming drinks, big and clean rooms, good wifi, friendly staff and amazing views. Aircon, swimming pool, good breakfast and ocean views, everything in one beautiful place. Massage also great, cheap ($50.000 ar for 1hr) and you can hear the waves as background. The beach is clean and almost no one which is kind of a private beach. The owner very kind modify some things in the menu to make it vegetarian for us, really smiley and cool guy. Highly recommended this place!

The design of the place is truly special, in the misdle of the nature with a sea view and very close to the beach. Safe to walk around during the day and at night. The staff is very friendly and happy to support for everything you would need. They got me a new blanket because I was cold at night.

Accommodation amidst lush and well-kept tropical garden with an infinity pool, just like in the description and in the photographs. Bungalows/cabins surrounded by mango trees provide views of picturesque sunsets on the sea. Meals in the local restaurant vary periodically and cater to different preferences. The staff are outgoing and helpful. Trips can be discussed and tailored on the spot, and pick-up from the airport is reliable in spite of delayed flights. The place to stay for a week or more.

Tropical paradise. The resort is accessible only by boat and up against a national park with lots of lemurs. We were there for five days, four nights in a beachfront bungalow with private facilities. Sun lounges under coconut palms. Local seafood at the restaurant. Hardly any other guests. Affordable for budget travelers.
