I truly enjoyed my stay at Chipatso! I originally planned to spend just one week in Cape Maclear, but I ended up staying for eight weeks. The rooms are clean, cozy, and very creatively designed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. What made the experience truly special were the people: the lovely mamas who live on the property are so warm and kind, and the kids are curious and always up for some fun. The rest of the Chipatso team is amazing – friendly, helpful, and always there when you need something, whether it's arranging transportation to your next destination or helping you organize an activity. And what makes Chipatso truly unique is that it’s not just a lodge – it’s also a community-based organization with a meaningful mission. They run an education and nutrition program, and support single mothers in the area. Also, don’t miss the sunset hike to the baobab tree with Ilia – it’s absolutely worth it! And make sure to try the chicken schnitzel – so good. Thank you so much for this amazing time!
