Jassim and his crew know hospitality and will make your private desert stay a wonderful experience. You may believe this to be a once in a lifetime experience, but my heart is set on returning to the desert, to Bidiyah, and to Oman. The camp is the furthest one in the desert so we were very far from the town of Bidiyah and it’s light pollution- far enough away to see the beautiful night sky be-speckled with stars. The tent is well designed and faces east to capture the most beautiful sunrise you’ll ever see over the desert sand dunes. No match for what you’ll see on Dune or Tatooine. There were just a few tents at this camp making for a very private setting, with just a few friendly neighbors. The base of the camp is where we had meals. They prepared great dishes (buffet), and had vegetarian options too. After dinner, we sat outside with the few people at the camp and had some tea and conversation. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and sometimes there’s a fire at night. The camp also boasts eco tourism using solar cells and limits the use of plastics. It was very quiet (except for the winds). There’s a fully functioning open air, private, outdoor bathroom attached to our tent where you can shower under the stars. Keep in mind that you’ll be covered in a thin layer of sand and sometimes it gets very windy so some eye protection would’ve come in handy. Lastly, I highly recommend meeting the crew at the meeting point in Bidiyah and having them drive on the desert sand. Jassim picked us up, had great communication, and simply the most hospitable and nicest person you’ll ever meet. He stopped so we could say hi to the camels, take a few photos, and had a few laughs.

The tents were very comfortable, tea, coffee and dates were available all the time, the breakfast was delicious. We also received precise instructions on how to find our way by car through the desert, which was very helpful. Payment is also possible here by card.

At the resort, every room has a patio. The private bathroom is equipped with a bidet, free toiletries and slippers. The units at Adventurer Camp come with a seating area. The location is great. In the middle of nowhere. Very peaceful place. Very helpful stuff.

Marbella Luxury desert camp in Bidiyah provides adults-only accommodation with an indoor pool, an open-air bath and a shared lounge. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. We booked both bungalows and they were fantastic with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The place is also situated a bit far away from the other camps, making it an excellent choice for privacy and experiencing nature. We brought our own BBQ kit and grilled outside, followed by setting up a campfire to enjoy its warmth, especially as the weather can get a bit chilly in the evening during this time of the year (November). After a lovely night of grilling and campfire, we retired to our bungalows, with some sleeping on the bed and others on the sofa. During the next morning, the staff worker prepared us a simple breakfast as well.

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with garden views and an outdoor dining area. At the campground, certain units are equipped with a kettle and chocolates or cookies. Amazing service from all of the staff. We loved the space between each dome, providing privacy for our family of 5 and ensuring we were not disturbed during the stay. A range of activities available, which were enjoyed by all of us. Nice selection of food for both dinner and breakfast. Beautiful views for sunrise and sunset

From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!
