Pierre and Manon who are running this property with a lot of LOVE are incredible people worthy of admiration! They bought a house with a good amount of land around it and have constructed several cabins, a yoga deck, a restaurant and a boat house over the last few years. Ataraxia has its own pier, so boatmen will easily take you there from Isla Colon. At the back of the property, there is a nature reserve, a jungle with so many treasures! We were able to spot the red frogs, caimans, a racoon, yellowtail birds, giant turquoise butterflies, turtles, giant ants, we rented a free kayak and paddled through the mangroves nearby, and we walked on several occasions to Old Bank, the main village on Isla Bastimentos, and once to Wizzard Beach. Manon also booked us a trip to Zapatilla (including sloth, dolphin and starfish spotting and snorkeling) and Pierre arranged our transportation to the airport. Several ideas for activities in the area conveniently presented in a booklet in the room (Zapatilla trip, Wizzard Beach hike, Red Frog & Polo Beach, bio-luminescence tour, etc.). Free kayaks and snorkeling gear available. If you are into botany and medicinal plants, you will have a lot to talk about with Pierre who planted so many of them around the property. Running a guesthouse in the middle of the jungle is a hard task, yet the couple somehow manage it and always keep smiling and interacting with guests at all times. Thank you very much, we will never forget our stay with you! You are a true inspiration! Be aware that: there is no hot water or AC and you cannot use a hairdrier, as the place runs on solar energy. There is wifi. Rooms are cleaned daily and are very spacious. Cold drinks available in the common fridge and option to have dinner. Tasty and creative breakfast included.

We had a wonderful time at this place. You are surrounded by jungle. The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Die Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool ist ein kürzlich renoviertes Bed & Breakfast in Bastimentos. I am an hospitality expert and I have discovered Punta Rica Lodge by case. I feel very lucky to have discovered this paradise. The Lodge is beautifully designed and decorated in details and surrounded by the most beautiful trees and plants and flowers. Is it located on a small hill and had a private Pier where you can look at sunset over the water. The Rooms are huge and beautifully designed. The piace and the sound of the birds is mind blowing. But the BEST part is yet to come. DANIEL, of of the owners ( unfortunately i could not meet the second owner but hopefully next time soon), was not ONLY the most pleasant and kind and friendly person, but also a 5 star CHEF. He was cooking for us every eve ning offering a 3 courses menu that was mind blowing. Nobody from the guests wanted to go eat outside because Daniel’s food was surreal. His desserts were better then a Michelin star. The Breakfast was just delicious and offered different options, same for dinner. The hotel had a beautiful pool to relax. Along the walking path of the hotel you can spot the famous red frogs ( no need to look further). Sara was amazing and her breakfast was fantastic. The small apero before dinner and the common salon table was amazing so socialize with other travelers and as a solo traveler i never felt alone which was fantastic. If you still want intimacy the Lodge has also single tables. Home stay cozy feels like style. Well connected to the other islands by a short 5 minutes water boat taxi ride.

The property is as described. Lots of storage space so you can unpack. Great kitchen. They are very attentive to your comfort. We had one of the air conditioners break down when it was determined that is could not be repaired they had it replaced right away. It is only really needed in the evening and night time for comfort and sleeping. During the day open the doors and windows and the breeze is great. A very comfortable home and a great place to unwind.

It is a calm place to stay at. The location is perfect, everything's nearby, and it's right in the middle of Old Bank. The deck is a great place to just relax, chill, read a book, listen to some music or watch the sunset. Even though the kitchen is small, it has most necessary things. When in need of a water taxi, please ask for Maya. He's nice, responsible, and very punctual. Finally, the star of our stay, and the cherry on top were the daily breakfast options offered by Kiosco&Pescador. Eunice was the kindest and her food was the most delicious.

Bei der Planung von Touren sind sie perfekte Organisatoren, und auch bei Touren auf eigene Faust beraten sie sehr kompetent. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut!
