The experience itself is really cool, but you need to put on a lot of clothes because it is going to be cold. You will never forget the water bottle.

The Cabin has everything you need and is extremely comfortable with awesome views from both your patio and bed. It's one of my favorite places, arguably my favorite place I've stayed while traveling the world. Very unique experience. Raul and family are happy to show and share every day life living on the islands. Food is simple but excellent. Raul goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and brings a big thermos daily for tea and coffee. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

All units come with a balcony with mountain views, a kitchenette with a dishwasher and an oven, and a private bathroom with shower. There is also a microwave, stovetop and a coffee machine. I liked literally everything. The place is made with such love and attention for the details that it impresses. I have to say that the pictures of the room with big white bed are worse then what it is in reality. You have full glass wall right to the lake with no obstacles. Also everything is so clean as if no human was there before. There is a proper hot water but the pressure is not strong enough to wash out soap out of the long hair but not the big deal as long as there is a warm shower. We were given a million blankets (I counted it was 7) not to get cold at night and there was also a gaz heater that we could use for a bit. The cherry on top of the cake was that before the night time Wilson brought us two warmers filled with hot and it was an amazingly sweet gesture. Also Wilson out us prior check in to the excursion to the big island to see how local people live and it so much worth it. It was so educational interesting and with awesome lunch with fresh fish and quinoa ect. Wilson’s family also cooked for us and you have to let them know in advance if you are picky with something. But on the day of departure they made a fish for us with some side dishes. Wilson picks you up with the boat at the port and takes you back. And can also assist with the taxi from and to the port. It was around 20 soles one way. Wilson gave us a private excursion and explained about the life on the island and we got the chance to see how families live there . There were no other tourists there at that time of a day, so felt very special and educational. I loved it. We also were given kayak free of charge to wonder around . I checked with kayak some other villas in the area and nothing was as nice as how Wilson did it. They kept an authentic experience with lux touch. They also have a dog that will be happy to see you every time and cats and there were even kittens.

Inca Manco Cápac International Airport is 48 km away. Mama Lea, Papa Mario and their son Ivan are super friendly. The experience of sleeping on a small Uro island is unique and recommendable. Mama Lea is a very good cook! We had great meals. Transfer round trip is offered for 80 soles which is fair since it's around 30 minutes per way.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. First of all, we did a long research on choosing the right stay at the Uros community. There is so many places that don’t belong to real Uros anymore. Walter and his family are amazing hosts. He build the island with his dad. For us he took care of everything. Special food requests, pick up from the train station and also transfer to the airport. His transfer services have a really fair price. The boat pick up, and a tour on a traditional boat are included. The communication with Walter works really good. Ge also speaks some English. We had really hot water and were able to use the heater inside the room whenever we wanted. Everything is very clean and neat. With Walter and his family you will have one of the greatest experiences at the Uros community!
