This place is paradise! Probably the best place I stayed in my entire 2 month trip in Southeast Asia. Everything is amazing and peaceful. The location is very close to the bus station, which is very convenient once you arrive from a long trip from El Nido or Puerto Princesa. Once I entered the Hilltop complex I was greated by Carlette (I may have spelled the name wrong), she showed me my cottage and suggested to settle and rest for a bit and when ready to go to the main house to meet her husband and do checkin. I left my stuff and went a few minutes later to check-in to get it out of the way so I can continue with the day. However this was no regular checkin.. It was a special one! It was a unique experience itself! I entered the main house and I'm greated by Dieter, the owner. He introduces himself to me and proceeds to ask me 'would you like a strong beer or a light beer'.. We hung out for the next hour, he told me a bit of his story and how he ended up in Port Barton and many other interesting things! The breakfast there is arguably the best I had. With a stunning but also peaceful view of the entire Port Barton. Sleeping was very comfortable, and the tips Dieter and Carlette gave me were very valuable! Our stay was incredible. We arrived to the hotel, after booking the same day (we had to leave our other hotel as we were not fans) Remy on reception greeted us. Welcomed us in beautifully, our bags were taken to our room and she even showed us multiple room options to ensure we were happy with our stay. It was such a convenient location, she helped us get tricycles in the town, recommended restaurants and tour and checked in on us every time we passed through the lobby and showed us a cute convient shop to buy water and essentials. Honestly we were so shocked by the level of hospitality in this hotel I would highly recommend this hotel.
