With the Sintra Train Station and Bus Station 100 metres away, Chalet Saudade offers a privileged location for guests to explore the mystic places of Sintra. Pena National Palace is 5 km away and the Moors Castle is a 20-minute walk. Lisbon International Airport is 28 km away. Parking is available nearby, both free and at an extra fee, reservation is not possible. Breakfast is superb!!! We had breakfast there for 2 days, and the food are different. We love their bread & cake very much!!

This 150 year-old residence is surrounded by a garden with a swimming pool and offers view of Sintra’s Moorish Castle. All rooms are simply decorated, and some have unique bathrooms with colourfully painted tiles. This hotel was a real surprise, a beautiful old house in the amazing Sintra town. The majestic house with a magnificent garden created just the right atmosphere to study the ruins and palaces. Ladies in the hotel gave pointed and good advice on how to best reach the sites.

The location on the hill offers stunning views of the city and ocean, and the peaceful village atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind. The building itself is beautifully renovated with great attention to detail, and our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. One of our favorite things was the two fireplaces—one in the room and one on the balcony—which made the stay feel extra special. Firewood and anything else needed for the fire were easy to find in the space with the red door downstairs, where you could also grab any extra kitchenware if needed. The owner was super responsive—whenever we needed fresh towels, coffee, or anything else, we got a quick reply and help right away. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we’d definitely love to come back!

Everything was impeccably clean and every little detail felt thoughtfully prepared. The breakfast was simply perfect: fresh, delicious and made with love. A special thank you to Manu, who also gave us so many helpful recommendations even before we arrived, from excellent local restaurants to beautiful hiking spots. This place is highly, highly recommended.
