They do small group tours but I chose to drive solo and got a great motorbike with rain gear and equipment to secure my luggage along with helpful advice. Duy was very helpful, super sweet - he arranged our loop tour for us and answered all our questions. The homestay was clean and comfortable. We didn’t explore the area too much as we were only there the night before and after our loop but there was a supermarket close by with restaurants and about 15 minute walk to a busy area with a lot more restaurants. The tour was amazing.

This is an old traditional house located near the town, not overly luxurious, but incredibly warm and clean. Staying here truly felt like living in a local family’s home. That evening, I had a delicious hotpot made with fresh local ingredients. The flavors were so unique and special. Sitting by a small fireplace while enjoying dinner, I found myself at a loss for words to describe the warmth and comfort of that moment. I also had a long and meaningful conversation with the host, who is a local teacher teaching English to children in the area—a truly inspiring social project. If you’re on the Ha Giang Loop and looking for the most authentic local experience, I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed!
