Living with the red dao people and learning about their culture. The family speaks very good English and eat their food and life style is still kept the same way. They have the traditional house and got some dogs and chickens. They took us on trekking different areas and they adjust everything to your level.

Die Unterkunft Hoa Chanh Bungalow mit Bergblick in Sapa bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einer Gemeinschaftslounge, einer Terrasse und einer Bar. Gorgeous views from the bungalow. Everything is new. Chanh was a wonderful host. She lit a camp fire in the evening and everyone mingled and drank around it. She gave us some free water for our journey. We booked a 2D1N homestay trek with someone else, but the accommodation was just a dingy smelly hostel with mattresses on the floor and not an authentic family experience. Chanh said she also does trekking and combined with stays at her bungalows for a much cheaper rate! Do ask upon booking.

Mike the owner is amazing. I arrived, he checked me in, showed me the room and gave me a lot of tips for my motorbike route. He even saved the good points in my google maps. I stayed in the dormitory. The beds are all pod beds and have curtains, so you have privacy. The shower is hot and super good preasure and you even get a toothbrush if you don't have. So it's perfect for the price you pay.
