We spent a lovely day at the station doing the nearby suggested walks and were lucky enough to watch the early morning clouds lift and get a view later on of Mount Cook. The clear skies on our second night afforded us a great view of the Milky Way. By the way, the gravel road up to the station is by no means difficult to negotiate and the end result is most definitely worth it.

The yurt was spacious, comfortable, clean, and so cozy! The garden is lovely with a few down to the sea. The stars at night were stunning. Loved the open air tub! The kitchen is very well stocked and very functional. Overall just a lovely place. My only complaint was that we only booked for one night, I wish I could have stayed longer!
