the room was lovely with a view and air conditioned and clean. the people running the hotel were very helpful to us as foreigners. they drove us to the Southgate entrance of Zhangjiajie national park which a 4 min drive and cooked us dinner for 40 yuan which was very helpful as the area is more quiet. this might be an option for you if they are available that night. there is also a restaurant across the road which was great! the hotel also offers a basic breakfast for free. Theres a busier area with fruit market stalls and more restaurants about a 20 min walk. the lady working there was very patient with us and helped us book all of our national park and day trip tickets (i would suggest doing this before you come to avoid missing out in busy seasons).

I had a wonderful stay in Zhangjiajie! The location was absolutely perfect, offering a clear and stunning view of Tianmen Mountain. The room itself was beautiful, well-appointed, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The hosts were incredibly kind and generous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! The location was not only quiet and peaceful, overlooking a beautiful landscape, but also very convenient. It was just a short distance from the Tianmen Mountain cable car, making it easy to explore the area. The airport and train station were also easily accessible, which made travelling to and from the property very simple. It’s the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience. Our hosts, David and his wife, were exceptionally kind and generous. They made us feel truly welcome from the start and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even shared their Autumn Festival celebration with us, prepared a lovely breakfast, and thoughtfully arranged a taxi for our departure. Their home was beautiful, and their warm hospitality made the entire stay incredibly pleasant, leaving us with wonderful and lasting memories.

The helpfulness of the owner already started days before our arrival. Make sure you have WeChat before you get here, and that you have a decent translation app. English is poorly spoken here, but the helpfulness is beyond anything I have ever expected. Also the room is amazing.
