This is an amazing piece of property. To my taste, better than any hotel you could stay in. The main bedroom has two big comfy beds, one of which has a great view of the Hiroshima cityscape through sliding doors and large windows. (The other bed is offset from the opening, but you can still get the same view from the living room next to it, the sitting area in front of the beds, or the outdoor area.) There is also another large bedroom with more beds (and its own private toilet room), a toilet room and separate shower/bath room (very spacious shower), a kitchen, laundry room, dining room with TV, etc. Most of the rooms have individual air conditioners. Beautiful traditional Japanese style throughout. Everything clean. We were provided with plenty of amenities. We unfortunately only stayed one night but all I could think was that I want to live here. If I ever get rich, I will buy this place and keep it all for myself. There are several convenience stores within a short walking distance. I also walked to a very impressive mountainside cemetery with a superb view of the city. People with mobility issues should be aware that access here requires going up a large flight of stairs. If you find stairs challenging, take a taxi to the location so you have full energy for the stairs. I went up and down without issue but older people might find it difficult.

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
