Fantastic studio, really spatious, with great large hard bed and western furniture. It feels a bit like staying at a fancy bar with a bathtub :D. The decor is really unique. Everything works. Location was perfect for what we needed - the conference centre. Lots of shops nearby, good transport links by bus or a metro some distance away. The owner went out of his way to help us and be nice - thank you so much!

Bang-on in the middle of Kawaramachi, this property has access to all the shopping places just outside the hotel. Rooms were as is shown in the pictures and were quite spacious compared to Tokyo. The bathrooms were quite modern (they had a separate remote for the loo!). Best part that there were many eateries all around and there's a connecting City Bus that leaves just a few meter outside the hotel so we didn't have to walk much to go to Arashiyama or other touristy places.

Loved the traditional feel. The accomodation was clean and as described. Beds comfortable, great location near public transport a bakery next door and a full supermarket around the corner. Two full bathrooms and a washing machine and drying rack were a perfect addition. We really enjoyed our stay here.
