We visited silver hill Ecovillage for 2 nights to relax before driving back to Negombo and fly out of the country. It was a great idea for relaxation and organising ourselves. The place is truly the last house on the hill and it is peaceful and full of vegetation. There is a small pool with natural water which is nice to cool yourself down, I loved the hammocks in the kitchen area with the amazing view where I read my book. If you decided to go please pet Lassi, the cutest dog ever. She’s nice and playful and made us smile many times😀 Just a note about the road going there - be mindful that the road closer to the hotel is not paved and a bit rocky but we managed to cross it with our Tuktuk.

This is the most beautiful homestay I’ve ever stayed at. The view, the room, the furniture – everything is absolutely stunning. But what truly made this place special was the warmth and kindness of the hosts. Punya takes care of everything with so much thoughtfulness, and Ravi is not only a great cook but also incredibly caring. I got quite sick during my stay, and they not only took me to the doctor but also cooked for me and looked after me with genuine care. I’m deeply grateful and can recommend this place to everyone. I was very happy with my decision to stay here instead of a hotel in the city center. I could enjoy clean air and a peaceful atomosphere. The room was clean and spacious with a great view of trees and sound of birds. The staff were warm and very kind and they were always ready to help and support me. As a female solo traveler, I really appreciated their support. The owner gave me useful information about places to visit and was always happy to answer my questions. The communication was very smooth and he replied very quickly through Whatsapp and I really appreciated it. It was a home-stay like experience and I really enjoyed my stay.

An „insider‘s tip“ for travelers who will appreciate a beautiful and authentic home-stay a little off the mainroad, surrounded by Sri Lankan nature. We found this place by chance, when our tuk-tuk-trip from Negombo to Sigiriya got too long and we decided to take a break. Next time around, we will definitely come here again on purpose. Wajira and his beautiful family have welcomed us with open arms and open doors. We felt at home very quickly because of their friendliness. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan food, interacting with the family and the whole atmosphere. Thank you for everything!

We loved our stay. It felt like a little treat for us as we have been booking cheaper accomodation. It was right by the lake which was perfect and the breakfast was amazing! Bed was comfortable and we commented that the room and bathroom were very clean. Staff were helpful especially with carrying our bags up the stairs and steep drive!
