Staying in this treehouse was an unforgettable experience! The owners are the kindest people I've ever met. They welcomed us with delicious snacks, refreshing cold towels—so refreshing in the heat—fresh fruits from their garden, and delightful homemade lemon juice. As a thoughtful gift, they even offered us cinnamon sticks from their own tree! The treehouse itself is beautiful and has everything you need, including air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a toilet. Sleeping among the trees in the jungle is truly special. In the morning, even we told the owners that we are leaving really early, they prepare food for us. Breakfast was fantastic, featuring fruits, vegetables, and spices from their garden, which was simply amazing. This lovely couple truly embodies the warmth and hospitality of Sri Lanka. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that exceeded all expectations. From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Wonderful place close to the beach, but still quiet and secluded. The hosts are super nice and helpful. Several bungalows are hidden in green, vast area so you feel isolated from other guests. The pool is great :). Breakfasts are diversified, so every day you can try different meal. Walking distance, 3 min., to Midigama center. We will most ceirtainly come back!

Wonderful guesthouse hosted by Anil and his wife, and Olivier from Hossegor who has been living here for 15 years. They were always available, ready to help, eg they will drop you anywhere you need. The room was super clean and spacious, calm but right in the center of Midigama. In the nature and breezy. We booked 2 extra nights as we felt like home! Bonus: they helped us organise our trip to Ella and safari and gave us all the tips of restaurants and surf spots in Midigama! Many thanks for having us, we will be back!

The perfect place to spend your vacation! If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to go. You are given an entire bungalow with a separate kitchen and lounge area. You will be the only guest at Channe's and all the host's attention will be on you. Lovely non repetitive breakfasts that will be cooked for you by your host, we were delighted! Channe, very hospitable, will always offer tea or any other help. You can also hire a bike from him for a good price and get a shuttle to the airport. The bungalow was very clean and bug free. Great bed with a good mattress. Will greatly miss our conversations at breakfast) Will definitely come back here again!!!!
