This is an absolutely beautiful location in a quiet part of Cahuita. We were looking forward to be surrounded by nature and we loved every minute of it. The gorgeous garden, our extremely knowledgeable host (seriously, let him guide you!), waking up to birds singing and the baboons howling. Definitely our favourite spot in Costa Rica. I would give this guesthouse 7 stars if that were possible. The staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. The grounds are a tropical paradise full of birds, butterflies & other wildlife. The rooms are clean & comfortable surrounded by the beautiful gardens.

Very nice bungalow with full Equipment kitchen and big bathroom. Silent place and a nice garden where you can see different kinds of animal in the morning when you have breakfast on the terrace. The owner life there and when you need anything the help you with all. It Was one of the best place in CR where we stay. Chauita is a traditionell place and ypu have nice Restaurants next to the bungalow orjust 15min the walk to the Center. Puerto Viejo is much expensive and to bussy with a lot of people. Good for visit for one day.

We had a great stay at El Colibri Rojo and ended up extending our stay to 12 days. The rooms were comfortable with AC, we enjoyed spending time at the pool and breakfast was tasty. The location was perfect for us, since we rented a car and could park at the property. We also enjoyed being just a little out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, which was only 6 minutes by car. Playa Blanca is a 6 min drive as well. The place has a very calm nature and the garden is just stunning. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable and advised us on some tours that we wanted to do, which you can book through them. Cahuita is calmer than Puerto Viejo, which is just what we needed. It’s only a 15 min drive there. And you are just a small walk away from Cahuita National Park, which we can highly recommend visiting. All in all the best place we stayed at in Costa Rica!

Wonderful kind hosts, a beautiful garden full of wildlife. We saw giant crabs, poison dart frogs, agouti, sloths, many birds and colourful flowers. The restaurant is delicious and the whole place has a great atmosphere. Comfy beds, hammocks and well equipped kitchen. Very child friendly, quiet, clean and lots of fun. We loved it :-)

Kim and Flo were the very best hosts. They were helpful with information, attentive to my needs and concerns, and responsible with cleanliness. The location is very convenient and easy to find and use as a base for your stay in town. I would happily recommend and stay here again.
