Shine Chalet is a "tiny home" in the owner's back yard. Abi, the owner, is a kind, giving person who went above and beyond several times to see that we were very well cared for. The chalet is well located for our purposes in the town of Redruth. It is spacious enough for two people, quiet and well appointed for a stay of several days. We were there for five nights. We would stay there again .

Hosts were accommodating, helpful and happy to make our stay pleasant.

Lovely place, the best host with the clearest instructions before handover, very-very cosy.

In good weather, guests are welcome to sit outside. The location was phenomenal. You have the sea right on your doorstep. They really thought everything through. The cabins are small but cozy and have all you need. The breakfast at the Colonial restaurant was delicious and so filling. The staff was amazing, especially Terry, who was incredibly kind. I stayed for my birthday and everyone was so sweet, helping my boyfriend surprise me with decorations and a cake. The value for money is unbeatable. It’s the perfect way to experience Newquay.

The 4-star chalet features garden views and is 25 km from Newquay Train Station. Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the fresh air. Beautiful house and garden, hearty breakfast. Great location, within short driving distance from every point of interest in western Cornwall. The town itself, St.Day, is quite pretty. It was nice to have dinner and a short walk in the evening.

The bar and restaurant, with its original fireplaces and features, serves hearty, home-cooked meals with a varied menu of homemade classics along with fresh seafood & Italian specials, not forgetting all our delicious homemade desserts. Everything about our visit exceeded our expectations. The food quality was phenomenal, the staff were always ready to assist and the views where incredible. The surrounding area is easily accessible, the Eden Project only being a 40 minute drive away. We decided to "splurge" on Christmas dinner all cooked by one of the owners and it was the best 3 and a half hours of eating we have ever experienced. If you like nachos these are the best we have ever tasted and honestly we would do the 5 + hour drive for them alone! We look forward to visiting again. Best Christmas ever!
