It was perfect for our needs, the worst thing about booking a B&B with our dogs is not knowing what floor we will be on and not being able to just let them in the garden in the morning. This felt like a home from home, TV in the lounge and in principal bedroom. Plenty of kitchen crockery to use and Michelle & Greg had kindly left a little welcome gift for our arrival which included the essentials of milk and butter which was a godsend after all the travelling that we didn’t need to go straight out to the shop! The hosts checked in with us before and during our 2 night stay so it was comforting to know they were always available should we have needed them. You can walk very quickly to the nearest pub down a small hill, it seems like it’s further away than it is and a small Spar village shop should you need any supplies. We drove around 15 minutes to Merthyr Mawr beach which was stunning and highly recommend a visit and then visited Barry Island on our way back to Kent which was on the way!

The lodge has a flat-screen TV. The kitchenette features a fridge, a microwave and a toaster and there is shower with free toiletries and a hairdryer. The Larch is such a tranquil peaceful weekend get away with your loved one. We had such a wonderful time shutting away from the outside world & be just the 2 of us, time together, it was lovely to be in a private space surrounded by greenery & sheep in the field. The Larch had all the amenities needed for a weekend break (there is a retail park 5mins away) & was clean & tidy, with nice touches like chocolate in the fridge & the tuck shop box. We are already looking at coming back it’s definitely recommended.

The holiday home with a patio and mountain views has 1 bedroom, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. The parquet floors, fireplace and peaceful vibe add to the ambience of the room. The property has an outdoor dining area. The location was perfect for us, Bike Park Wales close by, lovely walks and great accomodation. Good location to explore the area, would definitely return again. Oh and the Honey is lovely.
