It is very comfortable, a lot of space, a kitchen well equipped and above all the vieuw. We were never tired looking out to the bay, learning about the tide, we saw oystercatchers and a curlew. Location wise, Abbey lodge is near every place we went to, 30 min drive to tourist destinations. The apartment is huge and can cater 4 families. The amenities are complete- loads of utensils, pots and pans, crockery - we didnt have a problem bringing home wet clothes from swimming at the beach because they have a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The view from our room is amazing, overlooking the lake and the mountains. The beds and pillows are so comfy. It’s like home away from home. The host is very responsive as well as accommodating. Will recommend this place!

I had a fantastic stay at this property! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The place was impeccably clean, which made me feel instantly comfortable. The location was excellent convenient and peaceful making it easy to get around. What truly set this property apart were the amenities. They were not just good they were the best of the best. Everything from the kitchenware to the entertainment options was top-notch and clearly chosen with the guest experience in mind. I was especially impressed by the care the hosts took in providing materials for guests. Whether it was toiletries, or little extras around the house, it was all done with great thought and generosity. It made the stay feel both luxurious and welcoming. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed, and truly guest-focused stay!

The Gamekeeper's Lodge had the rustic facade of an 18th century building but an interior that was completely modernized. The bedrooms were perfect with a master bedroom en suite and two very comfortable bedrooms upstairs. It is a very private location with a nice area to park in front of the lodge. My two companions and I were delighted with the accommodation and the friendliness of our host, Gerard.
