It was lovely to arrive in such a beautiful garden with flowers, peacocks and other wildlife. Staff was very friendly and the lodge was big and nicely decorated. Food during breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent: a daily changing buffet of both traditional and innovatove dishes, made of super fresh ingredients from local farms. Excursions by local guides and boat 'safari' with a naturalist were very well done. Good ethical and community-based accommodation: they employ local people, empowering women and creating a caste-free safe space.

If you want to experience the real Varanasi, this is the place to stay! A truly authentic guesthouse run by a wonderful family. Mata Baba is incredibly kind and wise, and Pinky goes out of her way to make guests feel at home. The house is a traditional home typical of the neighborhood, located just 30 seconds from Tripura Bhairavi Ghat. Manikarnika Ghat is only a 5-minute walk away, and the evening Aarti is equally close. Some rooms even offer a view of the Ganges, and there’s a lovely terrace to relax on. It’s the perfect location to immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Varanasi. The rooms are simple yet comfortable—I wish I could stay here all year! Highly recommended. Jai Mata Baba 🙏

This has been one of my favorite places to stay in India so far. The room is confortable and I appreciate having toilet paper, water kettle, good pillows, table and a chair inside my room, and the views are great. The food at this place is so so delicious, fresh and homemade. I loved everything I tried. Also there is drinking water available always. The most important: the owner Vikas and the staff have been very welcoming and friendly to me, always available and willing to help. The hotel has beautiful paintings on the wall and a nice temple which brings you closer to the religion and spirituality here.
