Fred, the owner, built this Ecolodge himself with a clear mission: to be 100% sustainable. Every aspect of the property reflects that goal—everything is green, circular, and thoughtfully designed. The lodge is impressively clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The rooms are spacious, freshly renovated, and each comes with its own private bathroom. We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. The location of the homestay is the best attraction. The beach is really right infront of the homestay and we can see the beach from the veranda of the homestay. In the morning, we practically have the beach to ourselves. During the night, we experienced a few blackouts. I think this is not the owner's fault. However, the owner provided us with portable solar lamp for our use in the house, which helped a lot. We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay and hoped we can come back another time.

It located in a very good location, easy to get around and very close to the jetty to the islands.

Sie haben jeden Tag frisch für und gekocht. Frischen Fisch, Meeresfrüchte und Gemüse, es war das beste Essen das wir in Borneo hatten! Außerdem hat er ein Boot mit dem er uns zum Schnorcheln ausgeführt hat. Wir haben viele bunte Korallen und Fische gesehen und auf einer kleinen Insel Mittag gegessen. Es war atemberaubend schön!

We were very glad to have spent three beautiful days and two nights in this cabin. What impressed me most was the food here every day. It was so delicious and very professional. Jason showed great care to every guest and remembered everyone's preferences, making us feel at home. Moreover, Jason is proficient in multiple languages, which is amazing. During our communication with him, we also gained a deeper understanding of the land we came to, and he provided us with many suggestions for our future travels in Southeast Asia. Every day we were looking forward to what animals we would encounter the next day. There were gains as well as regrets. We saw many kinds of hornbills and proboscis monkeys, and also had two close encounters with the orangutans living near the cabin. But does this mean there will be a next time and the time after that? It was a great experience and we will come again. Wish TheLast Frontier all the best.
