Bay of Islands Airport is 36 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Very clean, nicely located and quiet, extraordinary breakfast. Friendly hosts. And Russell as a town is nice and a good base to visit the area.

Set in Ahipara, Gems Seaside Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the barbecue, or enjoy views of the sea and garden. As soon as you walk in, you are taken aback with the view of the ocean directly infront. The studio was very comfortable and had everything you could want. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well set up, including a coffee pod machine with a great selection of pods. There also was a Webber to BBQ on. It was nice to have the facility to wash your clothes. There was a comfy couch to sit on and good TV selection.

At the motel, each room comes with a balcony with a garden view. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Whangaroa Lodge Motel also offer a sea view. Set in Mangawhai in the Northland region, Chalet Cullen, features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.8 km from Mangawhai Heads Beach. Even though we only had a single overnight stay at Chalet Cullen, we must say it’s on our top ten experiences of what we have had during our 6 weeks vacation in New Zealand. The unit was fine and cozy, and with a great view to the beach. The local radio station (FM 90.4) plays pop/rock from the good old days. What’s not to like. We can only give our best recommendations.

Shipwreck Bay Beach is 1.2 km from the lodge. Very clean, good location, awesome staff and nice property. Really liked everything about it, it made our stay in Ahipara so good with super easy access to the beach. Guests were also nice.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The property was better than the photos so I would recommend updating the photos. The location was awesome and we wished we were staying longer. Loved it.
