I had the most wonderful time with Raul and his family. The Cabin has everything you need and is extremely comfortable with awesome views from both your patio and bed. It's one of my favorite places, arguably my favorite place I've stayed while traveling the world. Very unique experience. Raul and family are happy to show and share every day life living on the islands. Food is simple but excellent. Raul goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and brings a big thermos daily for tea and coffee. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

I liked literally everything. The place is made with such love and attention for the details that it impresses. I have to say that the pictures of the room with big white bed are worse then what it is in reality. You have full glass wall right to the lake with no obstacles. Also everything is so clean as if no human was there before. There is a proper hot water but the pressure is not strong enough to wash out soap out of the long hair but not the big deal as long as there is a warm shower. We were given a million blankets (I counted it was 7) not to get cold at night and there was also a gaz heater that we could use for a bit. The cherry on top of the cake was that before the night time Wilson brought us two warmers filled with hot and it was an amazingly sweet gesture. Also Wilson out us prior check in to the excursion to the big island to see how local people live and it so much worth it. It was so educational interesting and with awesome lunch with fresh fish and quinoa ect. Wilson’s family also cooked for us and you have to let them know in advance if you are picky with something. But on the day of departure they made a fish for us with some side dishes. Wilson picks you up with the boat at the port and takes you back. And can also assist with the taxi from and to the port. It was around 20 soles one way. Wilson gave us a private excursion and explained about the life on the island and we got the chance to see how families live there . There were no other tourists there at that time of a day, so felt very special and educational. I loved it. We also were given kayak free of charge to wonder around . I checked with kayak some other villas in the area and nothing was as nice as how Wilson did it. They kept an authentic experience with lux touch. They also have a dog that will be happy to see you every time and cats and there were even kittens.

Extremely friendly and accommodating family owned lodging. Huge rooms with bathtub, outdoor gazebo and really warm bed. They give you hot water bottles to keep you warm at night. Eco-friendly bathrooms. The food was also wonderful.

A place you feel “at home”. Comfortable, clean, almost luxury. Stunning view at the lake and hosts that took care of us in a spoiling way.

Unique private experience on a floating island. Five stars plus for Walter and his beautiful family. Everything so well organized. We loved this place so much. Must do for everyone who’s visiting Puno.

The rooms had amazing views and it was very cozy. The family that runs the place was incredibly lovely and gave us all the support to arrange day trips in puno and to organise our arrival. Even though it was very cold when we arrived, they took great care of making it comfortable and the food was truly amazing. ❤️

This accomodation is a great place to experience and get to know better the local culture. We were immersed into it and we felt very well. We felt the accomodation was well priced. The breakfast was amazing, above expectations for Peruvian standards. We served as well the dinner for a fair price. Manuel, member of the family, drove us by his boat for a fair price to the local port and explained us a few things about the local culture, the work they do to maintain the islands and the main activities.

We stayed at this beautiful place for two nights and loved it! Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect spot to relax. The room was beautiful, and you could really feel that it was made with a lot of love and attention to detail. Joel was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we needed something, he made sure we got it quickly. Even though there is no WiFi or easy access to public transport, this actually made our stay even more special. We were able to fully enjoy the peace and quiet. We highly recommend this place!

Staying at Amalia Titicaca Lodge with Juan and his wonderful family was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Peru. This is not just a place to stay—it’s a truly unforgettable experience that you simply should not miss. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Juan and his family took care of us as if we were their own. When we struggled with the altitude on our first day, they immediately made us feel comfortable, preparing special teas and even giving us hot water bottles for the night. The altitude sickness disappeared overnight, thanks to their care! Juan took us out on a fantastic boat tour of Lake Titicaca, sharing his knowledge and the beauty of the lake with us. In the evening, he cooked us an incredible supper—fresh and delicious. Breakfast the next morning was the same. Everything about our stay was authentic, peaceful, and filled with small, thoughtful touches. But what truly sets this place apart is Juan’s generosity and dedication. Halfway to Cusco, I realized I had left my laptop behind at the lodge—a total panic moment! Juan went above and beyond to make sure I got it back before leaving Cusco, personally organizing for it to be delivered by bus so I wouldn’t have to pay $200 for a private shuttle. I am eternally grateful for his kindness and effort!
