This hotel was fantastic. Location is in the heart of Berat. We got parking right outside the hotel but free parking is available all along the main road. The limited staff we interacted with were great. Very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was a treat. We were severed a platter of fresh produce and eggs cooked as we like. Our room was amazing with traditional decor that seemed to go back in time but also maintained a modern feel.

So long as you're relatively fit, the steep climb through Mangalen is well worth it to enjoy the historical splendour of this area. The accommodation is not far from the top, where there are open top cafes/restaurants with panoramic views. Further below, several more restaurants (especially like the one with a wine bell). The property overlooks Berat new town with its huge and busy promenade. The owner is a professor who has studied Albanian history and staying here encompasses a lot of that history. The hosts are lovely and passionate about their Albanian heritage. The room has a very comfortable and large double bed, with good aircon and wifi. There is a communal lounge with tea/coffee making facilities.

Everything was amazing!!! Thank you for making my stay in Berat enjoyable. The location is in the quiet side of the castle, close to everything. Everything. Location, host, breakfast. The welcoming. The location is near the city center but 30min walking to the castle. You have a parking spot and for breakfast we had an omelette, toast, olives, and figs.

A beautiful and quiet room in a very nice area of Berat. The hotel is new and everything is very clean and well organized. The breakfast was more than enough and delicious! The owners also run a restaurant where we had a super good dinner. Totally recommended
