The hosts were wonderful, taking their time to explain everything in detail. The sauna, available for a small additional fee, is absolutely worth it. The setting is beautiful, perfect for enjoying nature and family time. The facilities are excellent, offering everything you might need, including a water purifier. You can also watch Disney and Netflix on a big projector from a cozy sofa, which was perfect for our rainy evening. The highlight of my stay was getting a tattoo. Reina is an exceptional artist. We chatted, she showed her portfolio, and the next morning she created/placed my tattoo. She was incredibly flexible and accommodating. If you're looking for a local artist who specializes in fine line tattoos, Reina is the one to see!

A classical old-style japanese house that I had all for myself, humble living but matching the descripotion and has a good vibe. Very friendly and helpful host that welcomed me, recommended activities for my free day, arranged a visit to a neighboring tea farm for me, and even very helpfully drove me to the train station when I was leaving. Might be less comfy in winter for someone but the heating was fine for me. Would stay again anytime!

There are not many accommodation options near Kanaya or Shin-Kanaya stations, and we were lucky to find this ideal little place! Very clean and neat, and just a five minute walk from Shin-Kanaya, where we took a sightseeing train on the local Okigawa train line. We loved our stay here!

The staff was very friendly and everything was very clean. The onsen had various types of baths, including a large outdoor bath. There was also a restaurant, thought closed during our stay, and a nice relax area with free massage chairs, games and books/manga to enjoy. The house was beautiful with a very nice interior. We loved the tableware. Also, the hotplate was very useful. This area is quite remote and far from the highway. Therefore, it is quiet and peaceful with nice scenic spots. Still, if you are visiting from another prefecture, we recommend at least two nights in a row to fully enjoy your stay. Check-in at 3 pm and Check-out at 10 am can be challenging, especially when you are traveling with kids and during winter season, when the sun sets early.
