The best hotel in Ksamil! 🙌 Excellent Service from the owner and staff from reception, kitchen, restaurant and Housekeeping they are all nice and friendly they will provide all what you needed with personal touch and service. The owner himself always ask if everything is fine and if we needed something. As we celebrate our anniversary they gave us wine and personal note they have exceptional service like a 5 star hotel.Its sad that we dont want to go home after we checkin in Sondor. The people are so accomodating. They have Modern Facilities. A newly opened hotel that has a big room with nice terrace and modern pool. The breakfast is also awesome and always fresh and wide variety of foods! the location is not far from beach and center. i wil really recommend Sondor Hotel for all visiting Ksamil and we find our second home in Ksamil when we go back next time. Surely will come back to Sondor Hotel! 🫶 More Power!

Staff was very kind and helpful. It is a quite hotel which we needed. The hotel is very clean due to dedicated cleaner staff. The beach is so close and we didn't need to rent sunbeds&umbrella. We put our stuff by the pool and went to swimming. There's a shower in the garden that we used when we return from sea.

We stayed in November so we were totally aware it was out of season and there would be limited options. We enjoyed the quiet streets and there was still a small selection of restaurants open. We also went swimming, the water was cool but still enjoyable. For us Ksamil was perfect in November but I would caution that you must be prepared for a very relaxing and quiet experience.

Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day. Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). On average, €1 was equivalent to about 95–96 lek.

The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean.

The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean. Renting sunbeds/umbrellas can be quite pricy. If you go in the afternoon they would charge you the same price on some beaches. Driving in Ksamil can be quite hectic. The streets are quite narrow and not all the streets have pavements and on streets where they are present either they are taken up by shops or else the people do not use the land walk in the middle of the road. Be careful if you are driving there especially during rush hour and parking is not easy. The restaurants are really good. We tried a lot of them and the food is delicious and most of them have very reasonable prices. We were always treated nicely from the staff.

The people are amazing.

The people are amazing. They are all friendly and acomodating, and almost everyone speaks great english. The food is delicious! We went to several restaurants and all the food is great. Butrint national park is a must see. Although I highly recommend going there early (before 10 AM) to get a parking spot. Otherwise you will park 1 km-2km away and walk in the sun. The infrastructure is horrible. There are too many hotels and the roads are narrow and there are no or very little sidewalks. It is dangerous to walk around with small children because in august it was filled with cars that were driving too fast on those roads. Driving inside Ksamil and between Ksamil and Saranda is a nightmare.

Nice hotel/restaurant with beach access. The accommodations were fair. Our family had two Seaview rooms with balconies. Each room had 2 double beds and a mini fridge. The beds were okay. The furnishings were okay and filled the purpose. The bathrooms were newly updated and fresh. Great access to the highway but this may be a negative during the high season as you do hear the traffic. The staff were working hard to get the hotel open for the season. We were in Albania the first week of April. The breakfast was awesome!

Brand new hotel with very polite staff (especially Tana)! Everything is clean, we had a big pool view room and the children were very happy with that fact! The breakfast was delicious! The beach is near (it’s with fine sand and reserved sunbeds at first line for the hotel guests) but if You don’t want to go for a walk there is a free transfer. We were so lucky to book a room at Merit Garden Hotel for our first visit to Albania so we loved the country and we will come back again soon!

Best position in Ksamil above the hotels and beach. It was a short walk down the hill to the beach and beach bars. There was good parking and it was easy to find. The real highlight of this guesthouse is the family run atmosphere, the exceptional terrace and really good food. We are here most evenings looking across over a view of the islands, the bay and Corfu majestically in the background.

Very good - What previous guests thought, 509 reviews

Great location, very close to Ksamil center and the beach. The owners were very polite and hospitable. Fantastic breakfast where you get 6 options to choose from. I recommend asking for the freddo cappuccino coffee. Last but not least, you have the best view of the Ksamil beach and islands.
