Very responsive hosts, tasty and natural food, a cabin in the middle of the jungle, wild animals and birds, huge windows in the cottage, sounds of nature, and a relaxing atmosphere.

The waterfalls themselves are beautiful, a unique and stunning landscape. I don't highly recommend the trails. The one to the cave ends at the cave itself, which offers nothing of interest. The Chachi trail isn't marked, and after walking a long way, we ended up facing an indigenous path, which is extremely dangerous.

As the park staff explains, the fluctuating water levels offer a variety of scenery at every turn, with varying degrees of visibility of the falls. I didn't get to see a long stretch of the river because it had started to rise, but it left me wanting to return. The good thing is that the boat trip is canceled if the falls simply can't be seen.

ATTENTION!!!

ATTENTION!!! Check before you go if the access to the falls is open!!!! It had rained the day before, and the stream overflowed, so the access to the falls was closed. We drove several kilometers only to never see the falls...

We couldn't visit the waterfalls because the park was closed due to flooding in the area. There's plenty to explore in the area: trails, viewpoints, botanical gardens... and also challenging, action-packed activities.

This is a forest reserve, and therefore there are many mosquitoes. For those arriving from Brazil via El Soberbio, it's important to pay attention to the ferry's operating days and times. It's a very beautiful place, great for relaxation and nature activities. It's also excellent for wine shopping. In El Soberbio, there are wine shops and markets with a good variety of wines and attractive prices.

Spectacular!

Spectacular! You need to find out in advance (and plan for a stay of at least 3 days) when the boat trip to the falls is available; it's not every day, nor at all times (it depends on the river level).
