A very peaceful place for a family stroll, even at night. I went for Carnival, and it was also a very family-friendly and well-organized atmosphere; people of all ages were enjoying themselves together. The food options aren't very varied. Lots of nature, and everything is very clean.

It's a safe, pleasant city with good dining options and friendly locals who are happy to help you during your stay. It's a strategic location for visiting Iguazu Falls without having to travel too far, especially if you're coming from Buenos Aires or Entre Ríos.

I love Santo Tomé!
I love Santo Tomé! I was lucky enough to study at the university there. I met some wonderful people who taught me so much, not just academically. I travel a lot from Paraná, Brazil to Buenos Aires, and I always choose to spend a few days in Santo Tomé.

It's a well-preserved city with charming old houses, a beautiful central plaza, and a lovely church. It retains a colonial feel, which I hope it doesn't lose, and that its most emblematic buildings are preserved. The waterfront promenade is ideal for enjoying mate in the afternoon. It's very walkable both day and night.
