Extremely comfortable hotel in a beautiful location, with the most outstanding breakfast and exceptional reception service. We were team from Singapore (28 people) coming to compete at an underwater rugby tournament in Salzburg. The hotel was a convenient 8 minute drive from the tournament pool. We were able to book a combination of 5 family rooms (double beds and bunk beds), 1 family studio (includes kitchenette), 1 comfort studio (fits 3 pax) and 2 double rooms. So grateful to the team at Hotel Das Essigmanngut for being so welcoming and helpful, especially Irina! First she helped us with receiving two large parcels (containing an order of our national team swimsuits), then she helped to suggest restaurants for dinner nearby (all less than 10min drive) and made bookings for our large group at our requested time. We had asked what time breakfast would be available as we had an early start (needed to leave by 7am Saturday) and though they initially told us breakfast would only start at 6:30am but they could bring out the cold dishes at 6:00am, on the actually Saturday, we came down at 6:00am to warm dishes already being served! Such service. Everyone LOVED the breakfast - such fresh ingredients and so much variety. Cannot ask for more to fuel ourselves for the competition. The hotel also had a lot of public spaces available where we could congregate as a large group to talk together, including the dining area that was free to sit at anytime, the outside terrace, and a first floor sitting area. Parking was free and convenient for us with all the cars we had to move the group from place to place. I cannot recommend Hotel Das Essigmanngut more - great value for money. Will be back!

Stayed in the hotel for one night in the middle of the longer road trip. It was the best. Personal is very nice. Quiet surroundings. The hotel is very cozy and rooms are very nice. We have Mountain View from our room. 15 minutes walk to the Zoo and nice park to walk a dog. Breakfast is good. A spa after the long trip was really appreciated! And that is sweet that it is possible to stay with a dog (+15 € per night) Generally, it is made to help you to become relaxed!

The Schlosswirt is in my bones as I had previously stayed here over a period of 34 years (from age 1) when the previous landlords ran it, so I'm a little bit biased. However, this stay was lovely. The hotel still feels the same, has the creaky floorboards that bring back memories and the lovely little elevator. The rooms, both bedrooms and public rooms are inviting and comfortable. The new sauna/relaxation area has brought a bit of the 21st century to the hotel, and the pool that is t being built will be a great asset. All of the staff were friendly and attentive but special mentions have to go to Salomen who was a ray of sunshine in the mornings, Luca on reception who made us feel so welcome every day and Kalil who was knowledgeable about the wines and food and made our evenings pleasant. We had a room on the front of the building, so every morning we woke to a view of the Untersberg. This was a room that my 3 sisters abd I always had as children, so I felt like a 4 year old looking out of the window. However the room has been extended and a large bathroom installed which made it comfortable. The choice of foods gor breakfast was large and it was served in a relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was delicious, with choices that were different, backed up by Austrian staples such as Weinerschnitzel.

Eveyrthing! The host sent us all the instructions in advance through Booking. It was easy to enter the building. The flat was very nice and clean. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was with jacuzzi. As soon as we arrived we went to the pool. We enjoyed it a lot. The weather was nice and the pool was very clean. There were also towels for the pool. I highly recommend! We were super satisfied and are planning to come back if we stay in Salzburg again.

We stayed in the top-floor apartment. It's a lovely apartment not far away from Salzburg. The apartment is reasonably big and clean. You can reach many restaurants and attractions easily by car. The apartment has an amazing jacuzzi bathroom. In summer you can use the pool.

It was amazing! The most comfortable stay in the last 5 years. We were good taken care of. Clean, comfortable and very cosy. And the place was quiet. The check in was smooth as we did not need to meet anyone. We had some free drinks and snacks in our room. Parking was also great.

This is a fantastic hotel and we couldn’t fault our stay here. The friendly staff helped us plan our day in Salzburg and also enjoy the local area. We were able to make the most of our limited time as we were allowed to leave our car early and take the free bus to avoid parking in the city. The breakfast was absolutely incredible, probably the best we’ve had anywhere!

The hotel is very beautiful and the area around it. The staff is wonderful and makes you feel very welcome. Loved everything about my stay. My room was very big, loved all the space I had for my clothes and the view from my balconies was really beautiful.

A very comfortable authentic hotel. There is no aircon, but the walls are so thick, that they keep heat off on hot days.
