I had the most amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We stayed at the Barrel House for one night and it was a truly unique experience! It’s located just outside Vienna, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and peaceful nature. The place was clean and very charming – perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, assisting us with anything we needed. The local wines are amazing and very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend it and would love to come back! Perfect breakfast served at bed!!!!

The main square is extremely charming, and there are many restaurants and wine taverns. The vineyards surrounding the town are perfect for walks. However, keep in mind that the commuter train passes by regularly and is quite noisy. So, if you're looking for complete relaxation and peace in the countryside, you should probably travel to a more secluded area.

Enjoy a relaxing evening at a wine tavern. Savor good wine. Great hikes, something for everyone. A leisurely stroll through the vineyards, where you can unwind and let your mind wander. Or hike up to a lookout point at the Anninger mountain hut.

A very pretty little wine village.

A very pretty little wine village. Walks are possible, for example, along the vineyards. There are numerous small wine taverns serving wine and food. A fantastic wine festival with live music takes place in August. Vienna is easily, cheaply, and conveniently accessible by train.

Thanks to the pandemic, I had the opportunity to experience this hotel as a business traveler – without it, I doubt I'd have had the chance to discover this fantastic hotel. It's deservedly highly rated and therefore usually fully booked. Great location, stunning views, and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was amazing – I wouldn't have expected such a wide selection these days.
