    The staff was great and the room was very comfortable.

    The staff was great and the room was very comfortable. Fast wi-fi and slippers and robe in the room. Parking was free and just outside the hotel. There is no elevator if you are on upper floors. Short walk to the abbey which is now an arts center and to the local beach although you could swim in the lake right from the hotel property.

    Millstatt is a beautiful wilderness with plenty of sporting...

    Millstatt is a beautiful wilderness with plenty of sporting and other opportunities. We really enjoyed the bicycle ride around the lake, the hike to the Garnet Gate, the sup in the deep and clear Millstatt lake.

    Millstatt is a very nice area.

    Millstatt is a very nice area. I think especially in summer it is nice. In winter (which is when we were there) it is not so crowded. The location is well situated between several ski area's all within 20-40 min driving distance

    The location right on the lake is breathtaking. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The early morning plunges before breakfast were delightful. Our bedroom was very comfortable. The restaurant is delicious. The breakfast (by the lake) offers many options. The entire vibe of the hotel is incredible: you feel like in a spa retreat the 1800s, with perfect good taste. Special mention for the free paddle boards and sauna. We were sorry to leave and hope to come back!

    Most excellent and professional kitchen staff and very fine food - we were having half board. Professional table and cutlery setting. The chef Srđan and his companion Larisa are polite and they know their business very well. The hotel is full of paintings of Franz Josef and Sissi and has an 'imperial' spirit. Excellent lake view from the 3rd floor. Free and spacious parking.
