We had an amazing stay at Herrnhof! The estate has a fascinating history and is perfectly located at the foot of the mountains with unbelievable views all around. Hiking trails start just nearby, which made it a perfect base for our adventures. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The apartment itself was perfect - fully equipped, and incredibly comfortable. A truly memorable experience!

Everything was amazing, spacious nicely furbished apartments, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, beutyfull setting, amazing views from balcomy and rooms as well. Nice care by owners Zita and Christian👍 gave us lots of suggestions for activities nearby.

The atmosphere of a summer retreat is still palpable. Well-preserved old buildings (e.g., the bandstand in the park). A well-maintained townscape. The town fully lives up to its good reputation and has much to offer. Excellent restaurants.

Nice, typical Austrian village, all amenities. Close to ski resorts 20-25 minutes. Meals in local establishments. You need to check opening hours and which days they are open in advance. As everywhere in tourist areas. Transportation was own, easy.

Prein is very quiet.

Prein is very quiet. Unfortunately, there's little sun in the valley during winter, as it's quite narrow. The scenery is beautiful, but you need to be in good shape to hike higher up. There are wonderful hiking opportunities high above Prein. A great feature, and ideal for train travelers, is the free on-demand bus service for hotel guests, as the regular bus runs very infrequently.

Reichenau stands for slowing down, retreat, and charm (history, art & culture, villas from the turn of the 20th century). Clean, fresh air. Hiking, biking, or simply strolling along the Schwarza River, sitting in the garden. Good connections via Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) from Vienna. Locally and in the surrounding area: shuttle, taxi, VOR buses. Local amenities: 2 supermarkets. Rax cable car nearby.

The hotel and its staff were very friendly and helpful, always with a smile on their faces 😃. The food was excellent 👍 and plentiful. Reichenau was very clean, the spa park was peaceful for walks, and the surrounding area was simply beautiful. The Rax mountain is also fantastic for hiking and definitely worth a visit.

We went there with my wife and our small baby girl. We liked it because it was in the remote area, small village and within the driving distance to Vienna. Since hotels and accommodation in Vienna is extremely pricy then this option suited us best. The apartment was spacious. Separate large bedroom and large living room.
