We stayed only for one night and can recommanded it. Peter, the owner is really nice guy. Accomodation was cozy. There was small kitchen with everything we needed, comfy beds, towels and even more some cosmetic in bathroom.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by both hosts. Beer and a snack as a welcome treat :-) Parking is available on the property. Everything was very clean and tidy, fully equipped—we basically felt at home. I highly recommend this lovely accommodation to everyone.

Gästhaus Krenn is a gem! The location is so beautiful and charming. We felt welcomed from the start and got a complimentary upgrade to their apartment number 3 in the Residence. The apartment had the most amazing views of any accommodation we stayed in. Great views overlooking the region, mountains and the castle. We ate at the restaurant and wanted to go back again but it was fully booked. The breakfast was delivered to us and it had variety of local bread, cheese, jams etc. The staff kindness and friendliness are unmatched. We really loved our time there and we wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Selzthal is particularly well-suited as a transport hub for excursions into the surrounding area: Gesäuse (Admont), the Styrian Salzkammergut, and the Paltental valley (Strechau Castle). Numerous hiking opportunities abound in the beautiful Styrian mountains nearby. Selzthal's local mountain, the "Dürrenschöberl," can be easily reached from the village in about 3 hours – offering fantastic views!

Although I was only here to spend the night as a tourist, I could not miss a visit to Strechau Castle and the nearby Admond Monastery, which houses 4 museums and the largest monastery library in the world. An ideal starting point for hiking and mountaineering.

The location was excellent- short walk from Selzthal station. There was no one at reception when we arrived in the afternoon but a list of names with allocated rooms and keys had been left so we were able to find our room. There are a couple of restaurants nearby for an evening meal. Breakfast was good, boiled egg perfectly cooked for me plus all the usual accompaniments. The room was fine.

We were driving from Hallstatt to Vienna and I chose this hotel because of its convenient location. We really liked it, very comfortable, clean, with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast.

The breakfest was great and rich. The location is cross the train station, but we did not have problem with noise. Near the hotel is a free parking lot.
