Breakfast was extraordinary. Practically a private luxury buffet, which is insanely diverse and high quality, with nice enterior, view and service. I have never had such an exclusive experience, though I am very critical and had been to quite a few places and have written a bunch of rather rude critics. The mansion is absolutely demandingly romantic with lake view, private lake floating platform, relaxing facility and private pier, all in all a dream tale.

Very well maintained hotel, clean, quiet. Stayed here during Worthersee Gravel Race, so hotel seemed to have its first weekend due to the race. However, that was great as I was allowed to use the room until after the race. Very friendly receptionist Edi helped tons, I really appreciated his help and understanding of letting me leave bike in the room also. Breakfast was simple but good, but again being beginning of season is understandable.

It was close to the lake but far from anything to do since it was off season. The gym equipment didn't work so that was a bummer and the pool was the size of a kiddy pool. Very disappointed with this place because they overcharged me for something that was supposed to be free.

In our opinion, the city is overrated and has long since passed its peak. There are positive exceptions, but it is not Monte Carlo, even if many would like to believe or convey this. If you think you want to do that, you're welcome and please have a good time, but overall it's overpriced and you can have an even better time for the same money in other places if you want to. It's all a question of taste, those who think they have it have usually never had one. There are certainly other places in Carinthia on other lakes where you could certainly feel more comfortable. Especially when traveling as a family.

Velden is large enough to have every facility one could expect on a vacation and is beautifully located at the end of the Worthersee. Additionally one can drive to mountain walks , country restaurants and pubs or take a train for wider shopping in nearby Klagenfurt with ease

The hotel is easily accessible, easy to find, with a closed parking lot under the building. The room is spacious and comfortable with a huge terrace, a wonderful view of the lake. In the bathroom there is a built-in TV above the bathtub. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. The staff is polite and kind. The bed is quite large, the mattress is a harder type (this may be a problem for those who like soft mattresses).

Hotel Fantur exceeded our expectations with extra large rooms, comfortable bed, very good equiped and clean bathroom. The breakfest and dinner were also very tasty and met our expectations. The owner and the staff were very kind and helpful. They have also tried to talk with us in our language - this was very nice and we didn't expect this at all. :)

Nice and friendly vacation spot near Velden am Wörthersee. Plus for a clean, modern pool with comfortable sitting area - was good to cool down during hot days, especially as access to the lake is not so easy. Good breakfast, cosy restaurant.
