We spent a superb week at Fewo-Egger-Thalmann. The location is great, few kilometres outside Virgen, in a beautiful natural setting slightly up the mountain slope, providing magnificent views of the valley and mountains from the large balcony! Irene and her husband are great hosts, discrete but still available if you require assistance. They made us feel welcome at all time and even gave us some eggs from their chickens. You can also buy homemade jam, syrup and liquor made by Irene. The East Tyrol is a beautiful region to explore with many impressive trails, lakes, good local food and the highest Austrian summit: The Grossglockner standing at 3,798m above sea level.

the nature is magnificent. the breakfast is very interesting and healthy. the sauna is free of charge. nearby there is the trail to the waterfall (30 min to go there) with very beautiful surroundings. we recommend the hotel! the staff is very nice!

The accommodation offers a wide range of services. The wellness area is excellent, the rooms are spacious, and the hotel's cleanliness was up to standard. The restaurant was also good. Overall, we had a great time and plan to return in the future. For a three-star hotel, I think it's a very good choice.

    It is a small village with more or less any shops you need.

    It is a small village with more or less any shops you need. There are many hiking paths to enjoy and because it is early in the season there are no crowds and bikes around. You have to check the little paths because sometimes the owner of the land just closes the path and you have to make a bigger round. There are castle ruins to be visited, huts and beautiful forest paths with stunning views.

    The town itself is tiny and there is nothing to do (although there is a supermarket, gas station and bakery). But the hiking possibilities are limitless, as are the excursions you can make in the Hohe Tauern area. We also found some nice restaurants in the area.

    Apartment was located in separate about 4 floor building few meters from the farm, where also host lives. The place Has Also small campsite. Our apartment was on first floor with balcony, furniture in traditional style. Great view to surrounding mountains. In a village of Virgen, there IS 50m outside swimming pool with great views. Enough parking spaces even fór longer Vans os MPVs. IT IS located Near local Road, which is nôt busy and quiet enough fór sleeping.

    We stayed in app.Gipfelmagie and everything was perfect. I loved the dishwasher, it spared me time in the kitchen. The view is fantastic from the balcony. The kitchen and the entire apartment is really well equipped.My son liked the garden and the toys there.
