Cradle mountain is beautiful and wonderful. We have been there on several occasions including when we were engaged. The environment is peaceful and probably better in the cooler conditions (Like now) when there are fewer tourists around. The rain adds a special feeling when walking around Dove lake.
Plenty of pleasant walks around cradle mountain.

The selection of walk was excellent.
The selection of walk was excellent.
Signage for access to some of the walk was not optimal.
There needs to be a display of weather information for the day, which walks are closed and more prominent information on dress attire.

The timing of our trip and very little crowd was the best part. Having pretty much Dove lake to ourselves was amazing. The weather was a bit so so but it’s was all prt of the experience. It’s an amazing, beautiful place. A must is to do the dove lake circuit and the Roony Creek to Dove lake. Walks are fairly easy and 80% on boardwalks. Marion’s lookout is a definite for next trip. Don’t forget to also do Devils @ cradle for amazing wildlife experience

It is a special place but visitors need to know that there are no additional facilities there. Ensure you have a full tank of petrol and purchase some goodies to take with you because once you are there you are a "trapped" audience. Prices are high and variety is not great.

One of the best World Heritage Sites there is!
One of the best World Heritage Sites there is! Stunning days no matter the weather! Be prepared if you are going to do any of the longer walks and follow the directions of the maps and staff. We eat at Peppers up the road from where we stay, they have a fantastic tavern there. There is so much to do for couples and families!

Cradle mountain a place must visit when you are coming to Tasmania.
Wombats are very cute animals to see them there especially you can spot them at Ronny Creek before sunsets but need to drive into the park very carefully after the shuttle bus stop operating at 430pm.

Incredible location. Absolutely the best place to stay on Cradle Mountain. So close (10 min walk) to Devils at the Cradle and 2 min drive to Visitor Centre to go to the national park. Some of the most popular (and accessible or easier for families) walks are in and around Peppers such as The Enchanted walk trail.
Breakfast was exceptional every morning plus the tavern and restaurant on site at Peppers are excellent.

AMAZING! We travelled around Tasmania for a holiday and this was our top rated place. Had a complimentary upgrade to their best room which was a great surprise - we felt super special. Would recommend Cradle Mountain hotel to everyone

We stayed in one of the cabins on about a zero degree night, heating was cosy and warm and electric blankets on the bed, we were very comfortable. Great location for cradle mountain exploring. We would’ve happily stayed longer.

Short walk to Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre shuttle bus service to the hiking trails. Cabins sit in the midst of bush. Wildlife can be spotted in the park.
