The same but different cafe and staff are excellent with friendly locals. doesn't get better than Aussie banter. Check out the lovely lady at the Post office with her male counterpart for humour.

Came for my daughters wedding so there was a lot of time...

Came for my daughters wedding so there was a lot of time spent with arrangements but all the guests adored. Still managed to fit in gin tastings and wineries because everything is so close. So many options to dine and just wonder. Still close enough To Adelaide and all the wine regions to base yourself in Hahnsdorf.

Hahndorf was just beautiful.

Hahndorf was just beautiful. What a fantastic little village. Would have loved to stay another day to see outside of the town. Definitely need to spend at least a full day just meandering through this lovely town.

So much to see and do.

So much to see and do. Great places to eat, lovely atmosphere. Excellent shopping, caters for everyone from tourists to locals. Check out The Black Sheep gift shop and Otto's Bakery, just 2 of many favourites.

Exquisite town of stone buildings and gorgeous architecture. Absolutely picturesque ❤️ We went to the German arms hotel which had a very detailed menu and the food and drinks were amazing! The Mill had great food and pool tables and big screen tv to watch sport. The leather shop has some great items. So many gorgeous antique shops. The Main Street you can walk all day and still not see everything.

A lovely little village.

A lovely little village. It's good to stay over to really enjoy the vibe - but beware - a lot of the shops don't open until 10:30 or 11am as they wait for the tour groups to arrive. DO visit the Cedars and take a tour of Hans Heysen's house - very interesting.

We loved the location of the property just behind Hahndorf’s lovely Main Street. The house is traditional but fully modernised with a very pleasant garden. There is lots of room to cook and to eat in the kitchen which is very well appointed with every utensil needed. Also loads of drinking glasses, cutlery and crockery. The bedrooms are very comfortable as is the lounge area. The WiFi and television options were also good. Parking is available on site.

Hahndorf Haven is a very comfortable, bright and private house with everything you could need. Our host, Carol, graciously provided us with milk, orange juice, muesli, raisin bread, chocolate and a bottle of wine. The location is one street back from Main Street which meant about a 2 minute walk though a car park and lane directly opposite the house to the many restaurants, German Arms Hotel and shops.

We loved this place! Conveniently located on the main Hahndorf strip yet so quiet and peaceful surroundings. Gated and secure parking. Cosy cottages with everything you need and exceptionally clean! We would absolutely stay here again! Wonderful kind host that welcomed us with some local wine and provided us with great tips about the surroundings.

Its the perfect spot to stay if you want to really enjoy Hahndorf as its central and you have your own spot to park. We had a terrible incident that ruined our stay but i will say that i was able to get in contact with someone early and got a much deserved refund.

Great location right in the middle of Hahndorf, nice and clean rooms- some with excellent views! Very good parking out the back. But most importantly excellent staff! So helpful and accommodating, while being friendly and fun.
