Stayed here while birding the tablelands. With pademelons at our doorstep, platypus in the river, possums on the prowl all night, boobook owls calling occasionally, emerald doves and king parrots coming in for bird feed, this is a very special hotel. We did not come across cassowary or tree kangaroo on the property, so they may be easy some months and more difficult the next. It was a constant rain for us over 4 days which may have played a role, but still had a very nice time in these cabins. Each of the standard cabins are along the river and isolated from each other, the family cabin has wifi and is in a separate area. No wifi or cell service otherwise. Lots to see in the area but even just staying at the hotel is great! Bring some banana for the feeder, you wouldn't want to disappoint the catbirds and riflebirds. Be warned that the trails can become very muddy and deep in the rain, so stop by the front desk for mud boots. We checked in after hours so didn't know this convenience was available early on!

Beautifully presented Tiny House - the amenities, linen and inclusions were excellent. Firewood was supplied which was appreciated as we loved having a little fire pit.

We love spending the night here when coming from the coast to run away from the heat. It is a lovely, quiet and clean hostel and we will always come back. Walking distance from restaurants and supermarket, perfect location if you’re visiting the Tablelands, plenty to see.

We thought is was just right.

We thought is was just right. We especially liked coming back at the end of the day and having a few drinks around the fire, which you can still enjoy at this time of the year up there. The patio area was brilliant, and yes there are plenty of flowering trees and plants, so yes, there was organic matter on the chairs etc but unless you expect a concrete jungle, then that is what you get. The place was clean and well presented and had absolutely everything you need (except for a hair dryer I discovered but it's good to dry naturally occasionally).
