We didn't stay too long because we were flying out the next day, but locals were friendly, food was great - plenty of choice. Not too crowded, some nice shops - antiques, bakery etc. Easy location to walk around or drive.

Everything centrally located along Wellington Street.
Everything centrally located along Wellington Street. Can recommend the Country Club Hotel for dining.
Being a long weekend some places were shut, in particular a couple of homewares shops and a cafe.
Woolmers Estate and Brickendon Estate worth visiting.

Longford has so much too offer .
Longford has so much too offer . Woolmers Estate is a must and neighbour Brickendon estate. The history of the second estate will give you a insight to Woolmers family history it’s fascinating. Also Longford is close to the Evandale Market don’t miss it. Launceston, everything is close. We came for 2 nights and stayed for 7 didn’t want to leave.

Bustling historical township with friendly people and charming architecture. Plenty of eateries, close to Launceston. Some lovely shops and very peaceful most of the time. This weekend the town was a buzz with hundreds visiting the Open Gardens festival, like myself

The streets were easy to get around. The shopping was varied. There were plenty of cafes and the iga and hill street grocery were friendly and great to get food from. I ate at. Sticky beaks just across the road.i loved the closeness to other towns. The people were very friendly.

It is often nice whilst being a tourist to have comfortable chairs or 2 seater lounge for seating. I realise size of the room dictates putting in arm chairs. For this reasin I would never book a motel room.

A wonderful peaceful rural stay. Step back in time. Clean and comfortable but rustic. This is an experience not a chain hotel room. It was lovely to meet the owners and to learn about the history with a visit to the farm. Tip- Take a torch it’s very dark at night with no street lighting. Also no wi fi so prepare to disconnect from the world for a while.

Everything! A beautiful B&B just 1km from Longford Town Center and a short 15 mins drive to Launceston Airport.
Pool was beautiful. Hosts, Bev and Glen, super friendly. It was just the perfect ending to our 2 week driving trip around Tassie.
Oh and bed was super comfy.

The hotel was a historic building. The rooms were both clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful when we wanted to extend our stay. It was also in an ideal location for us as we wanted to be close to nearby family

We stayed in the cabin, it was very clean and look like staying on a hotel room. Everything was spotless and smells nice. This is our second stay and will come back again.
