What a delightful stay we had at Ulverstone River Retreat. It is a little slice of Tasmanian Heaven. I could have sat all day looking at the beautiful River Leven rising and falling with the tide. We stayed in the Loft Apartment and it was perfect for our needs.... so cosy and comfortable. The other rooms looked gorgeous too from what I saw. Kids loved the wildlife on the lawn in front. Don't miss the Leven Canyon walk and for those wanting something a bit off the beaten track try the Castra Circuit. Kim and Anthony were such friendly and approachable hosts.

We loved everything . Perfect location for exploring the area including cradle mountain, little penguin and platypus spotting and tons more. Fab little town . Everything in walking distance . Nice brewery 6 mins stroll . The apartment sites by the river and is perfect . Well equipped, modern , comfortable, peaceful , immaculate, excellent outside space and lovely responsive host . Far exceeded our expectations and would def recommend . We have used self catering for over 30 years and this one is def one of our favourites. Sue u are a great host thanks .

Gorgeous property in an amazing setting. Well laid out, lots of facilities including super comfy beds/linens, lovely lounge and outside furniture. Could just while away hours listening to birdsong and lapping sea on the beach. Loved the trains passing.

Location, Location, Location. This property is in a beautiful position right beside a river with wonderful views. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with everything. There is even a FREE washer and dryer for the guests to use. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and are very nice people. What else can I say except if you go to Ulverstone stay at the River Edge Holiday Apartments you can’t go wrong.

I had a fantastic stay at the dome accommodation on the farm! The setting was peaceful and picturesque, offering a perfect escape into nature. We had a truly wonderful stay! The home is beautifully presented — spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and full of charm. It really felt like a home away from home from the moment we walked in. The views from the property are absolutely stunning — waking up to the scenic landscape each morning was so relaxing. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. The house had everything we needed and more. The amenities were plentiful and well-considered, from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy blankets and quality toiletries. It was especially great for families — there were lots of toys and books to keep the kids entertained, plus a high chair, which made mealtimes so much easier. Location-wise, it’s in a great spot — peaceful and quiet, but still very close to local shops and nearby towns, so we never felt far from anything we needed. Overall, it’s a truly special place. We’d absolutely love to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway

North Motton is a rural area (farming and forestry) not a place. It is a 15 min drive to the beach and local coastal towns. Cradle Mountain is over an hour away and Leven Canyon and Kaydale Gardens about 45min away. If you are intending to visit some glorious Tasmanian countryside this makes a very suitable quiet secluded base.
