The whole feel of the place is great, the fact it's self built is a cool story in itself but the story continues with Tony and Kirsten, who are amazing hosts and genuinely nice people. The grounds are gorgeous with crystal clean waters literally 20m away from the door, private beach, quiet gardens and lots to look at. Wish we'd have stayed longer!

What a beautiful place to stay! The views and the comfort of the apartment were spot on. The kind owner gave us upon arrival a personal explanation of the apartment and she gave us great tips on the activities in the neighbourhood. On her advice we visited Raymond island and saw many koala's! For the breakfast she filled the fridge with many options we could take. Once we were ready to leave she came to say goodbye. We highly recommend this place!

Paynesville is a beautiful township by the water with plenty of good variety of eating places. It's well worth taking a water taxi ride to Raymond Island (no vehicle needed) to check out the koalas. A beautiful tranquil place. We saw 7 koalas.

We absolutely loved our stay in Paynesville!

We absolutely loved our stay in Paynesville! It’s such a peaceful and beautiful spot — calm water views, fresh air, and the most relaxing vibe. We enjoyed every minute walking by the waterfront and watching the sunset from our apartment. The town is quiet, friendly, and has everything you need for a perfect getaway. Definitely wish we could’ve stayed longer! Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Paynesville is a beautiful place to visit with a marina, close proximity to Gippsland lakes, rivers and towns. It has good restaurants, cafes and bakeries and also a well stocked supermarket to cater for families. It's also a boating and fishing heaven.

Great walks to see birds and kangaroos in the wild. Raymond Island is worth more than one visit. Look at koalas and take the flora walk. The ferry is free for walk ons. A great base for day trips to Bainsdale and the hot Springs at Metung. (Book at peak holiday times)visit the pretty town at Metung too.

A relaxing destination with lovely views lovely restaurants and a wonderful cafe I enjoyed called Ginnys .Beautiful Raymond Island is a 3-minute Ferry Ride away to an island full of beautiful walking tracks, views and native Australian animals. Highly recommend Paynesville for a quiet destination to visit with gorgeous Gippsland Lake views.

The cabin was very spacious. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in for a hotel/motel bed. The lady who assisted my check in (apologies, i have forgotten her name) was super lovely and accommodating. The weather was freezing on the day of my arrival and she had already turned the heater on in my room.

We had our own breakfast with us and there were facilities in the room for us to manage this ourselves. The room was spacious and light with a great view over the Paynesville marina. It is very close to the car and foot ferry across to Raymond Island, and easy walking distance to the local pub for a meal.

The location is excellent in Paynesville. It was great to have a washer and dryer. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. It was nice to look out on the canal with its birdlife including a few swans. Bathroom and kitchen were great and adequately equipped for our needs.
