We're in Australia for a week.

We're in Australia for a week. Originally thought we'd break it up into a few locations. Moving is overhead and there is SO much to see and do in Sydney and we're glad we stayed put in Potts Point. At the end of the week, there is still more to discover. People are so very friendly, food options are endless. Just keep in mind traffic (and walking) is on the left side. Transportation (Metro, Light Rail, Bus) is simple to use. Beaches are delightful.

I love Sydney.

I love Sydney. So easy to get around either driving or trains. I just find now there are so many toll roads so train travel with an opal card is much cheaper and convenient. There's so much to do just look for things.

The trip had everything we hoped for. starting off with a magical hotel that belonged in the CBD for style. We dined at Doyle's and the next morning we travelled to The Rocks before returning to Canberra. I would advise people to find ways to avoid the costly tolls of Sydney. Not sure what young couples would want to do, we are almost in our 70's, having said that still loved it all.

Sydney was perfect, we stayed in Circular Quay which was central to all the places we wanted to visit. From here you can hop on a bus, train, tram or ferry or walk to your destination, no car is needed. Just use your credit card to tap on and off. There’s also a lot of places to choose from to have your meals with plenty of activities to keep you occupied. Special mention to Bennies cafe at Circular Quay, friendly service, generous portions of food, reasonably priced and great food. Visit the Rocks, especially the weekend markets, have a high tea at The Tea Cosy, go for a walk around the botanical gardens. Rainy day? No problem, catch a train to Town hall to visit the heritage Queen Victoria Building, afternoon tea at Manon Brasserie or buy some yummy macarons at La Belle Mietté. Watch a movie at Events Cinema or IMAX. Sunny day? Hop on a ferry to go to Luna Park, Manly Beach (dinner at Fins and Ribs) or Bondi beach. Watch something at the Opera House (we saw a ballet), climb the bridge. So much to do. We stayed for 5 days (4 nights) and still couldn’t see everything.

The location & privacy are unbeatable. I brought some friends out from Canada & our stay in the Cremorne Point Manor Penthouse was the big crescendo of the trip! The ferry into Circular Quay is only one stop, passing directly alongside of the Opera House & the ferry jetty is an easy walk down the road. Unlike the CBD & many of the hotels there, you get the suburban peace & quiet, with minimal traffic due to Cremorne’s secluded location.

Awesome hotel near CBD. it's clean and run by a Mgr called Donna. it's very clean. near to opera house & CBD & circular quay. A nice breakfast will be provided, at least you can manage till 4 pm, without eating anything. Apart from the hotel, I like the coffee machine. I have also recommended to my office people to book this hotel when they attend Sydney. its very near to everything.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Sydney due to its location in the CBD. Also the staff are extremely friendly, professional and almost anticipate your requirements. The driveway service when taxis required is prompt and courteous. This hotel may not have the harbour views but it certainly has so many other qualities important to me when in that busy city!

The Horse and Jockey is great if you are going to Olympic Park for anything. There's a bus outside the door that goes there, Uber trips are cheap. It's really close to Homebush Station. The pub has a great food menu. The beds are new, as are the shared bathrooms. Good for the price when compared to Olympic Park hotels.
