Couldn't have asked for a better position right on the water and near the boardwalk which unfortunately was under renovation but can't wait to go back when its opened again. An easy getaway for anyone. Got a takeaway from the oriental restaurant which was amazing. Loved the walking path the seats along the way to enjoy the amazing view. Very easy to get around and well signposted. I took a drive out to Bellingen which is amazing. Then continued to Sawtell both a short drive from Urunga and both a beautiful spot for a light meal or a cuppa and cake then back to the serenity of the park to relax with a wine from the local bottle shop.

Urunga is a great location.

Urunga is a great location. The pub and the golf club are very handy places to dine-the golf club has an amazing view out over the two rivers -the Bellinger and Kalang rivers. The spectacular boardwalk is a real asset.

My second visit for creative retreat.

My second visit for creative retreat. Urunga has both times been a perfect location. Not too busy. Just enough shops and perfect natural environment with more yellow tail black cockatoos than I ever thought I would see in one place!

Perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Loved the boardwalk out to the beach. Urunga even has a vending machine in the butcher for when you're caught out after the shops have shut. Genius!

The cabin was very clean and had beautiful views of the water and boardwalk. Perfect location, across the road to the supermarket , which sold beautiful cooked food in their delli, also the pub was across the road, Bowling club in walking distance just around corner, and RSL Club was also in walking distance . Will definately come back.

Walking on Urunga's very long boardwalk and onto the beautiful, uncrowded, and seemingly endless beach at the end of the boardwalk was pure magic. My husband and I did the walk twice- in the morning and later in the afternoon- and marveled at how different each experience was. Urunga is a very special place that has yet to be spoilt by over-commercialism. Hopefully, it will stay this way for a very long time.
