Walpole was lovely and quiet.

Walpole was lovely and quiet. It was very peaceful with a lovely walk along the inlet and in the forest behind the visitor centre. If you have a dog, you need to be aware that a lot of the surrounding areas are National Parks, and a dog is not allowed to enter them. We were able to take the dog to nearby Parry Beach which was good.

Walpole is great for the outdoor family, tree top walk, multiple state forests and more walking and riding trails than you will fit in. there are 4WD tracks and the beach views are spectacular (don't miss out on Mandalay beach). We highly recommend Walpole as a holiday destination.

Our impression of the town is very good.

Our impression of the town is very good. Civic pride is visible. The town is compact so very easy to navigate. Had to visit the medical center and that went very smoothly. Our visit to the pharmacy, however, did not leave a great impression. Ate in the dining room of our accommodation. Very good. Excellent service. Loved the Tree Top Walk and we were totally in awe of the beautiful countryside surrounding Walpole.

We enjoyed the walked to the different location, tree top walk is great too. The one thing not happy about was no food places open except pub. We did go to the Dam restaurant which was great. But other were close for the winter . So that was disappointing. We walk the 300 steps at the Franklin summit it was had but worth it.

Walpole is a very small town so very easy to walk around the main street. Had a nice dinner at the local hotel which seems quite popular with the locals. Good base for exploring local attractions such as the Eco tour on the inlet, the tree top walk or just exploring the local bushland areas.

Walpole is a great base for explore the south coast.

Walpole is a great base for explore the south coast. Lots of natural sites to see. It was not high season so not much choice for food and local amenities were a little lacking me shut rather early but the natural beauty far outweighs this minor gripe

- Spacious townhouse - Comfortable beds - Best location for sightseeing - Valley of the Giants was 20 minutes away, as was Conspicuous Cliff - Staff was very understanding when I had to postpone payment due to my credit card maxxing out - A quick note for future occupants to check your communications prior to arriving, as Google map leads you to the Hotel-Motel in front of Bayside Villa. We were driving around in confusion before I checked my messages and realise I was told the driveway to the Villa is located off Palmer Lane.

The location was good. It's 10-15mins to main Walpole Town. It's just on the banks of Frankland River and kayaks/canoe are free to use. One of the few places down Walpole that allows pets in the cabins. It is really off-grid being in the middle of the forest. They only have signal from the main house at top of the hill, but the rest of the cabins are all off-grid.
