An, honestly, unexpected gem when you drive there. The neighborhood looks a bit shabby and does not invite you for an evening walk. But…the resort exceeds its own description. The complex is designed in Mediterranean/African architecture with Gaudi-like shapes and works by local artists. The rooms have been perfectly renovated (2023), really spotless and cared for down to the last detail. The resort borders the tempestuous ocean and has a beautiful private swimming pool. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Nice to know that one of the managers/owners (?) is called Liesje, a typically Dutch name. Yet she is not from the Low Countries. The surroundings may be a bit less, but the resort has all the amenities. Too bad that the bar and restaurant are separate, so you have to pay separately each time. But that seems to have something to do with taxes. The small negatives outweigh the value for money. And therefore a: 10

Room was somewhat dated, but clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Also felt safe as there was a security guard 24/7 with lots of cameras being monitored throught the property. AC was excellent, and with remote, very easy to adjust to our comfort level. Pools were well maintained. Restaurant was very nice, with ample choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices were reasonable. Staff were very friendly. Complimentary afternoon tea was a nice added touch. Good location at the southern end of St. Lawrence Gap. This kept us away from the numerous restaurants and bars further to the north, so it was quiet at night. We will be back in Barbados in 2026 and will book again at Southern Palms.

Lovely stay! Staff were pleasant and friendly. The room was fantastic and had great amenities. All areas, exterior and interior, were well kept and clean. The main pool was open until 10 pm; great for an evening swim. Lots of things to do at the resort and close to many restaurants. Happy with our stay.

The south coast is a great place to stay, 'next door' to town (Bridgetown), Oistins is here - so great on Fridays. Lots of beautiful beaches -though all of Bajan beaches are beautiful. Also, this parish is where Saint Lawrence Gap is located. In summary a great parish, but highly recommended to get out and explore them all!

Christ Church was quite easy to get around by taxi as there were many on call outside the hotel where i stayed There are lots of places to eat especially Miramosa but generally quote expensive apart from the Kandy Bar which isb't a bad experience

Very nice and white sandy beaches ⛱️ nearby. The local people are very nice. The is local fish celebrations and market, dancing, with the locals on Friday and Saturdays..love local people and streets and many other hotels near by on route. Beautiful 💖 weather, the sea breeze was lovely 😍 The town is colourful including the transport buses 🚌 and taxis going into town or airport 🛫 Local area has natural local people sell their own produce, foods and market stall inside the Oistins Town area..there is supermarkets KFC, Chefette and petrol station, fish markets, lots of restaurants cooked food to buy..beautiful atmosphere and im definitely confirm my time was amazing. I am definitely coming back to Christchurch Barbados 🇧🇧 and I can't wait..oh yes the Miami Beach is amazing going to swim out in the sea..water level is chest high from a far distance from shore sandy area..lovely weather all day and night...lots of hotels nearby too. Transport to Oistins to Bridgetown is easy accessible from Christchurch.

Christ Church is an absolutely stunning area filled with vibrant culture, beautiful beaches, and welcoming local charm. One of the best aspects is its convenient location—just a short 5 to 10-minute drive by car to other bustling areas like Bridgetown, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Some fantastic local spots to try include the famous Oistins Fish Market, renowned for its fresh seafood and lively atmosphere—located right in Christ Church—and St. Lawrence Gap, a lively stretch filled with great restaurants, bars, and entertainment options perfect for evenings out. Lisa's Doubles is a MUST! Whether you're craving fresh catch at Oistins or enjoying the vibrant nightlife in St. Lawrence Gap, this area offers an incredible array of local experiences that truly capture the spirit of Barbados. I can't recommend Christ Church enough for anyone wanting an authentic Caribbean experience with all the comforts nearby.

Christchurch has very friendly people lots of shops, beaches and busses by the second. Lots of bars and restaurant including places you can eat for breakfasts. some places can be expensive and some reasonable depending on your budget.

Christchurch is an excellent location within Barbados with a mix of lively bars, activities, food and options for travel around the island. I would suggest it is the best base for a first timer to Barbados, as you can get involved with the low and high ends of Barbados depending on which you enjoy. However, if your only interested in the Instagram perfect picture of Barbados then I would suggest you stay on the West of Barbados.

New, very tastefull decorated, extremely clean and walking distance to Dover Beach. The kitchen is well equipped. We were very thankful that they let us stay until 12:30 (instead until 11:00) in the room, which fitted excellent in our travel schedule. The area in the vicinity is not so pretty, the beautiful beach is framed with many hotels, but on the other hand there are umbrellas and sunbeds and also many restaurants.

Everything about the condo was right for us. Huge fridge freezer, full cooker and every utensil you’d ever need. Katie made sure we had all we needed for a comfortable stay she even went to get gluten free foods for our arrival. The pool was great and just across from a lovely beach and close to several hotels with restaurants.

location, location, location. Excellent stay in February. A lovely and comfortable hotel situated at the entrance to St Lawrence Gap. However, it’s the staff that makes this hotel the perfect place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble and they all go about their daily business with smiles on their faces.
