The staff is amazing. The man at the Front Desk works really hard and gave me an incredible help during my short stay. He managed to get my laundry done in 2 hours and that was super helpful. The two mans at the restaurant are also super nice, can’t expect more from them. Their effort is 10/10. All rooms have a nice view on the Lake Titicaca, and also the terrace is special. You may enjoy a nice beer/coke/mate de coca while looking at the incredible sunset on the Lake

The view was spectacular. It was quiet and away from the city center, but not too far. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Last, but not least, the hotel had laundry service reasonably priced.

Beautiful vintage building away from the noise of the center, perched on a small hill top that has sweeping views of the lake and the hills around. Garden in the front of the property is a great spot to watch amazing sunsets. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean, breakfast next to the fireplace every morning is decent and Mario who looks after the place is just too good.

It’s easy to get boat tickets and other forms of...

It’s easy to get boat tickets and other forms of transportation here. Lots of options. Make sure you go to Isla Del Sol, and I recommend staying two nights. We stayed in the south, boated to the north and walked the three hour spectacular trail back to the hotel.

Lake Titicaca is an awesome place to visit to spend a couple of days at least, if you love nature you will really enjoy this simple and awesome place, you will find good food, too, from Italian to awesome Ceviche at the main plaza. Check out Trattoria Sapori di Italia.

Copacabana surprised us, but was a fantastic place to visit...

Copacabana surprised us, but was a fantastic place to visit and at no time did we feel unsafe or threatened. The people are very very friendly and really try hard to communicate with you when English is not their language (in a lot of ways). Has a holiday atmosphere without losing its Bolivian roots and religious leanings. A great place to visit and soak in.

The main reason we went to Copacabana was to visit the Isla del Sol. Its a great day hike destination with beautiful views, Inca ruins and a chance to hike an Inca road. However, the restaurants, food stores and beach in Copacabana are mediocre.

The town is a good stop between La Paz and Peru but is nice enough itself with good access to walks and Isla del Sol etc. Really worth visiting the various Inca sites in town and around, including Inca Baths just outside, with its little museum and mummified body. If you stay on Isla del Sol beware the slope up from Yumani harbour to the town, it is almost vertical.

Copacabana is a small town, not accessible by plane.

Copacabana is a small town, not accessible by plane. It has a nice feel, although there are lots of people who work for tourist companies and restaurants who will approach you to try to get you to use their services. They're friendly and not aggressive. Our day trip to Isla del Sol was nice. We hiked to the temple and had wonderful views. On the boat returning to Copacabana we made a detour to a sort of makeshift restaurant. We were told we'd be there for 50 minutes. What most people did was choose a trout from the pools that were netted off from the lake, and it was prepared for lunch. The trout was the best I've had, but it was strange not to know we'd be going there. I wanted to go to the Poncho Museum but couldn't find it. A local told me where she thought it was, but there was no sign indicating it was there. After wandering around town a bit, I stopped in at the Pit Stop Bakery, which had delicious baked goods, and good coffee.

Amazing location with a great atmosphere. We took our time to relax and that really worked out at La Cupula. The restaurant is great and especially the coffee bar run by Chloë is amazing. You should taste the lunch and especially the cinnamon rolls and talk with Chloë about the coffee. The staff were superb and really helpful and neat.

Juan and the team were extremely helpful and pleasant. The facilities were perfect and our laundry was returned timely and clean and fresh. The setting and views from the whole hostel are beautiful and you can tell everyone in Las Olas takes pride in it. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing place to stay in Copacabana.

Good hotel, close to the Lake but also only about a 10 min walk into town. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff and a decent restaurant. We would book again if we were in Copacabana. Will be even better when they finish the building work on the road directly outside the entrance!
