The beach is still a very simple and beautiful place; I...

The beach is still a very simple and beautiful place; I consider it a bucolic spot, not very touristy. It still has the characteristics of a fishing village, where most of the houses belong to residents and there are indigenous lands nearby. I recommend visiting because, in my opinion, these characteristics make it worth seeing.

Baía da Traição is a fantastic beach, a natural beach,...

Baía da Traição is a fantastic beach, a natural beach, without that idea of beaches surrounded by buildings and large crowds. Wonderful mangroves, white sand, a beach well cared for by the municipal government. In addition to having the option of an endless menu of seafood, and dolphins at Prainha, a part of the beach where they congregate performing their acrobatics.

It's a place for those who have their own means of...

It's a place for those who have their own means of transportation, car or motorcycle. You can get there by bus, but unless you stay in the city center, you'll have trouble getting to the main tourist attractions and even finding a place to eat at night.

In Baía da Traição there are many large speed bumps, so a low car with a lot of cargo will scrape on several of them. The beach is very clean and not very crowded. The bars and restaurants in the town and on the beach are quite simple. There is a viewpoint with some cannons. It costs R$ 2 per person to visit.

We took several trips around the region.

We took several trips around the region. We visited rivers, beaches, met local people, and learned about the manatee project... It was a cultural trip, as we had contact with indigenous tribes and tried typical food. We read and researched the history of the region. It's very interesting, especially for children; it's a blend of what they learn at school with real-life experiences.
